Chapter 15

Nathan's POV

Running. That's all I could do. Run. I heard leaves and twigs breaking under my feet. I don't know where I am, or what I was running from. All I knew was that I needed to run.

I stopped in the middle of a clearing and fell to the ground. I laid on the ground breathing heavily. Suddenly I heard a dark and sinister laugh. I shot up from the ground and faced the sound of the laugh.

I couldn't see anything just darkness all around me.

"Who's there?!" I yelled into the darkness. I felt somebody punch my face. I fell to the ground holding my face. I felt another blow into my abdomen. I clutched my stomach in pain.

Suddenly I was being thrown in the air. I hit the ground, hard. I closed my eyes breathing heavily. I opened my eyes a little bit and saw a figure walking towards me. The dark figure grabbed my neck and pushed up against a wall.

"Miss me?"

I would remember that voice anywhere. I finally I could make out the face of the dark figure. Lily. She was smirking at me.

"We had a deal, Nathan," she said tightening her hand around my neck, "since you broke that deal, your going to pay. I'm going to kill your little Rose RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!" She said throwing me again.

I stood up slowly, "I won't let you touch her," my voice sounded horse and raspy.

"Oh, Nathan you won't have a choose. You let me kill Rose or I'll kill everyone that's important to her. First her parents who already think she's died, next her two bestest friends, then Ben and Tyler and to finish it off you. She'll be all alone in the world Nathan.

"She might even forget all about you and marry somebody else. Forget about her past with you and replace you with somebody else to hold her and keep her safe and warm. Or she'll be begging for me to kill her and I won't think twice about it!"

I was so anger. I just wanted to kill Lily. All I could see was red. I ran to Lily and pinned her on the ground, "you won't touch her!" I yelled in her face. Lily laughed at me.

She pushed me off her and she grabbed my neck again holding me in the air, "you should learn to never break a deal with a Rosswil Nathan," she tightened her hand around my neck and crushed it.

My eyes shot open. I was breathing heavily and was dripping in sweat. I sat up in the bed.

"Nathan?" Rose said sitting up and rubbing my back soothingly, "what's wrong?"

"Just had a terrible nightmare," I said rubbing my face.

"About what?" She asked grabbing my hands so I could look at her. She looked so beautiful. Her green eyes were staring at me intently, "it's okay Nathan you can tell me,"

"It was about..." I trailed off

"About what?" She asked again

"Lily." I said in a low voice. I felt Rose tense up. I gave her hand a reassuring squeeze, "it's fine it was just a dream," she gave me a small smile

"Yeah. I guess, it's not like it's going to come tru-" she stopped talking. Her eyes were wide with horror and pain all at once. I looked down at her chest and saw a dagger coming out of her stomach with blood on it.

Her body feel to the floor with a 'thud' I jumped out of the bed and rushed over to her. I laid her head on my lap. She was breathing heavily. I put my hands on her wounds to stop the bleeding. She groaned in pain, "sorry baby, just hang in there okay I won't let anything thing happen to you, I promise,"
