Suspicion

Julie's POV
Even when we try to say goodbye
And you can cut the tension with a knife in here

Something weird is going on back in California. I can feel it.

Everything was fine, but suddenly, there was this shift in the air. Everything went still.

Then the pain washed over me.

I felt this sudden feeling of anxiety, shame, and anger all at once.

I've felt this before.

I didn't want to relive that.

I decided to call Michael, just to see what he was up to.

No answer.

Weird.

Michael was always on his phone, why would he ignore me.

I called Serenity.

"Hello!" She greeted, sounding incredibly happy.

"Hi." I replied I monotone.

"Hey, what's up?" She asked, sounding worried, but a little annoyed.

"Just a quick question. Where exactly was Michael last night?" I tried to sound as casual as possible, but was failing miserably.

"Just his apartment. Why?" I could hear Serenity shifting on her bed. 

"No reason. Reni, where was Quinn?" I asked, ignoring her question.

"Last I saw her she was on the way down to...oh, God." Serenity suddenly screamed, causing me to nearly drop my phone.

"MICHAEL WAS ALONE WITH QUINNN. CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP..." Serenity continued to scream. I could hear her running. Then, I heard a door slam.

"Quinn, what were you doing with Michael last night?" Serenity demanded.

"Just talking." Quinn's faint voice retorted.

"About what." Serenity snapped.

"Things."

"Specifics, Quinn."

"I never said you were allowed in here."

Then a door slammed again.

"JULIE SOMETHING HAPPENED AND IM REALLY WORRIED AND MICHAEL LEFT SOMEWHERE AND NO ONE KNOWS WHERE HE IS AND OH MY GOD WHAT IF IT'S JULLIN ALL OVER AGAIN."

I stood in the middle of my room, frozen, unable to reply to anything Serenity said. Her voice faded to static, my surroundings blurring. It was just me and my thoughts.

Michael was alone....with Quinn?

Were they really just talking?

Why would Michael talk to Quinn in the first place?

What really happened?

What's going on here?

Who's telling the truth?

Who's lying to me?

"JULIE ARE YOU ALIVE?" The screams of Serenity brought be back to reality.

"Oh, um, yeah..." My voice faded away.

"Look, Jules, I'm gonna go investigate this situation here. I'll call you if I get anymore info."

"Okay. Bye."

The call ended.

Wanting to distract myself from everything, I decided to scroll through Luke's Instagram feed, assuming that he'd be the least drama filled of the boys.

Well, a lot has happened since I've left.

Apparently, Luke went out with some girl named Arzaylea one night, the Fam attacked her, and we've never heard from her since.

Well, okay then, Fam.

Next thing you know, my little Hanna Summers is dating Mr. Luke Hemmings.

Hanna Hemmings, that's got a nice ring to it.

I smiled as I looked at all their photos together, almost forgetting I was separated from the love of my life and that he may or may not have cheated on me with my enemy.

Of course, I said almost.

In the news for Calum, he was seen out with both Serenity and Keisha. Press of course immediately went to:

"Does Calum Hood have a Possible New Girlfriend? Maybe Two?"

And

"Is YouTube Sensation Serenity Starkey Cheating on her Super Famous Boyfriend Jack Harries with 5SOS Bassist Calum Hood?"

And

"Is Calum Hood Two-Timing A Two Timer and a Keisha?"

And then we have Sugarscape...

"Calum Hood was seen Outside with Friends. OH MY GOD EVERYONE FREAK OUT."

God, I love Sugarscape.

Actually, not much. He shaved his beard. He and Bryana are adorable. He's just kinda chill right now.

In the news for...um....Jack Hemmings.....

Jack Hemmings is the best Hemmings.

I giggled at my own thoughts, almost questioning if I was becoming delirious.

I probably was, considering my Not-Exactly-Boyfriend was being suspicious and my enemy was involved.
