Chapter 1

Wow. I can't believe Maddison tried to flirt with Dan. I mean, Dan is cute and all but he's so emotion-less. Trust me, if you can't tell if he's happy.. Then no one can tell if he's in love. And plus, if she thinks she can flutter her eyes and starts being all touchy with him and act all flirty, she's going the wrong direction. I stopped looking at them and started to eat my food since it was lunch. My best friend,May, was talking as well. "I'm telling you, if you dip yogurt into ketchup it's actually really good!"
"Ew May, how can you even think about that. It's so..."
And then I saw him.. Mason Grenate the sophomore hottie. He was so cute, I couldn't stand it. He had brown hair with beautiful blue eyes. And the way he walks is impeccable! His freckles makes him look sexy and..
"Jessica!"
"Huh?!" I said in confusion.
"Your staring at Mason again!! Do you want to look creepy?"
"Oh sorry"
She raised her eyebrow.
"What?!"
"If you want Mason to like you, I'm pretty sure you have to be a sophomore. Your only a freshman" May said.
"So what, it can happen!"
"Sure it can" she said as she went back to eating her food. I looked at her in disgust but then I went back to Mason. He was sitting with his jock friends which I think is incredibly hot. Mason is also a nerd. He's in 4 AP classes and in the Science Triathlon. Not to mention Maddison's science partner. Ugh. Just then, he looked at me.
"Omg May! He's looking over here!!"
She looked back and then rolled her eyes
"Then why is he talking to Maddison"
I looked back and saw him talking to Maddison.. I felt like crying. Mason moved from his Jock table to Maddison's table.
"But I swear.."
"Uh no." She interrupted. "You need to stop staring at him"
Right as I was about to agree Mason comes over to our table stands right next to me.
"Mind if I join?"
