"Umm hi" I said nervously.
"What's up?" Mason said with his beautiful blue eyes. The way they sparkle just makes me wanna squeal. I glanced at May, she looked concerned for me so she took over.
"Have you ever tried yogurt dipped in ketchup?"
Mason chuckled "Sounds pretty gross"
"It's actually very good, if you ask me"
I giggled quietly as I tried avoiding eye contact with Mason.
"So Jessica" Mason said "I saw you playing Saxophone the other day. It sounded amazing.. What was it?"
I tried replying but the words wasn't coming from my mouth. What the hell was happening to me..
"Um.." I nervously replied "It was.."
Mason waited patiently but I looked at May and she raised her eyebrow. I could tell by her expression she was saying "Are you trying to make a fool out of yourself?"
"I think it was..a piece by.."
Just then the bell rang and everyone started to get ready to go to class from lunch.
"Oh well, maybe you'll remember later. Then we can talk" Mason said with a gorgeous smile.
"Oh...Ok..Okay" I replied.
I grabbed my stuff and jumped up in a hurry. As I tried to exit my lunch table i slipped and all my textbooks and notebooks fell down to the ground. I just shrugged it off and knelt down to pick it up. Right as I tried grabbing my books, some kid accidentally pushed me and I felt into Mason.
"Oh my gosh Mason! I'm so sorry!!"
"No no it's fine" Mason replied.
"I'm such a fool. But I hope you know I'm not always like this. I never drop my books like that and I never.."
"It's fine Jessica." Mason smiled "I don't need an explanation"
"Oh..sorry"
Mason threw his lunch in the trash and left the cafeteria to go to his classes. I picked up my books and stood next to May as she was about to head off to class.
"You're a trainwreck. You need to learn how to not embarrass yourself." May said.
"Yeah, I'm sorry. I just got so nervous"
"Yeah I understand. It's a hard thing to do, and hey, don't be too sad. I don't think he thinks of you differently.. You just got to play it cool"
"Yeah" I agreed. "I need help"
May laughed "Dont worry. I'm probably worse"
We both laughed as we walked down the hallway to our classes. As I headed toward my Math class, I saw Maddison with Mason by his locker. I'm not the type that looks at details and all but Maddison looked at Mason like it was something serious. I'm also not the type of person to be eavesdropping on other people's personal stuff but I just couldn't resist it. I pretended the locker next to Maddison was mine and I just listened
"You don't understand!!" Mason said.
"Yes I do! I know that what happened is the reason why we should do it"
"But you moved on and I moved on. It's stupid and.."
"Oh have I?!" Maddison interrupted " Have I moved on?!"
"Maddison you can't be telling me.."
Oh whatever!" Maddison said in disgrace. "I'm going to be late for class" As Maddison walked away.
I was wondering what they were talking about when just then I heard my Math teacher's voice "Jessica, do you want to be late for class?" I looked at the clock and totally forgot about being tardy! I shaked my head at my Math teacher (Mr.Adams) and rushed to class.
