Chapter 10

As I was walking with Luke, I crossed my arms and rolled my eyes " What do you want to talk about? And hurry, I have to get to the counsellors!"
Luke stopped, we were standing right in front of the janitors office.
"So, I have lots of stuff to tell you.. But I'll go one by one"
"Why type of stuff?"
"Stuff people tell me about"
"Oh please, your the wierdest kid alive! No one talks to you.."
Luke raised his eyebrows. "It's better not to assume things darling.."
"Ew" I said in disgust. "Do NOT call me darling"
"Okay sweetie" he smiled. "Now I think you want to know some information to fall dance."
"I don't need to know anything for the fall dance. Literally nothing happens, we just go, dress nicely and dance."
"Ahh" he pointed his finger to the air. "There is a thing that might concern.. You"
My shoulders slumped, how can this kid know anything about me.
"Okay, name one thing you know about me..."
"I know that you like Mason"
My jaw dropped. Just alone on that made me believe him...
"I know about him, sweetie. I know about Maddison, and I know what she did. Would you like to know more?"
"But how?!"
Luke chuckled. "I have my ways.."
I grabbed his arm. "What do you know and why on earth would you like to help me?"
"Because dearie, I want revenge. And you can help me." He chuckled. "But this is about me, now is it? It's about you...."
"Luke.." I put on a confused/serious expression. What Luke wanted, I wasn't going to give.
"Now, I hear that Maddison has been... Spreading some stuff to Mason. Preferably her.."
"How do I know you're not just lying?" I raised my eyebrows.
"Well" he put his hands together. "I have my ways that you don't need to know"
I started to back up "Well maybe I don't want your help!"
"No!" Luke said in a serious tone. "You leave and I will tell everyone that you like Mason. Everyone will know about your little competition between Maddison for the Fall dance and you will find out the truth between what happened the hard way" he stomped his foot.
"I don't understand!" I yelled. "What do you want from me!"
"I want you" he pointed at me. "To know the truth but.."
"What do you mean, the truth?"
"I mean that there's been a secret only I know that involves Mason and Maddison and.."
"And why would I want to know this secret.." Just then I realized. "Oh"
"Exactly!"
"But, why would you want to help me?"
"I have my ways" he replied. I decided to ignore him because I actually really needed to know this 'secret' of his.
"First, I need to see if your worthy enough to know"
"Oh my gosh " I rolled my eyes. "I'm not about to do something crazy and then.."
"Oh sweetie, you think I'm going to make you do something stupid." He chuckled. "I have something else in mind for you. Go talk to Rick about it"
"What do I say to him" I folded my arms. "Just say Luke sent you here and he has to give you information" just then the bell rang and everyone was crowding the hall. I looked around me and I saw no one I knew in general so I turned back around, but Luke wasn't there. He disappeared... I rolled my eyes and started to look for Rick. Whatever he knew must be something important.
