Chapter 12

I tried running to find Rick but I couldn't find him. Some how he mysteriously disappeared and I didn't know where he was. I kept running and running through the crowd of people until I remembered. I was suppose to go to the counsellors office! I ran back to catch the Freshman's counsellor getting a cup of coffee.
"Oh excuse me, Mrs.Wattson!"
Mrs.Wattson turned around "What do you need Mam?"
"Well you see.." I pulled out my schedule. "I think my schedule got mixed up.."
"Honey" she looked confused. "I haven't changed a schedule this morning"
"Wait what?!" I stood there acting weird. "But that's impossible. I was in a room full of seniors and.."
"Just go back to your normal schedule. Meanwhile, I'll ask Maddison about it."
"Wait.." I said in confusion. "Why would you ask Maddison about it" I had a bad feeling about this answer.
"You didn't know?" Mrs.Wattson asked. "Maddison is a counsellor aid, she helps in 1st class." I stood there in shock! That's what Maddison was doing, she was putting the schedule in the student shelf. She wasn't flirting with Mason! That little bitch!
"Oh and who gave you your new schedule?" Mrs.Wattson asked.
I didn't know what to say. But if I was going to get revenge on Maddison, I had to make the right choice.
"I don't know." I smirked. "It was on the student shelf when I came" I thanked Mrs.Wattson and walked off to my next class. What Maddison did was evil, what I'm about to do to her is torture...
As I finished my 4th class I saw Rick walk past me. I ran to Rick, trying to catch up with him.
"Rick, what's your problem?"
He didn't answer, instead he kept walking forward.
"Rick!" This time I yelled. He look back at me "I'm not telling you anything!" He yelled back.
I started to get annoyed,  I crossed my arms and said "I did not come all the way here to get no for answer.. Tell me"
"How about a I don't want to tell you"
"Come on Rick! This is unfair.."
"If I tell you.." He hesitated. I noticed that he looked back and I turned around. Mason was walking towards us and I looked back, Rick looked nervous.
"Why are you.."
"Hey!" Mason interrupted. "Jessica, can I talk to you in private."
"Um" I looked at him and then looked back at Rick. Rick was trying to avoid eye contact with Mason...
"I'm talking to Rick and.."
"And that perfectly fine. I got to go to class anyways." Rick ran off which made me mad but the fact that Mason wanted to talk was just.. I can't even express the emotion.
"I um.."
"It's okay" Mason said. "You don't have to say anything. I just wanted to ask you something."
I was so anxious to know what he was asking. He took a deep breath and said "Will you go out with me? To the dance as my girlfriend?"
I stood there in shock...
