chapter 10

How are you my wonderful readers?  I'd like to thank you all for reading my story and for your support . it means a lot. Anyway enjoy.

I walked down the stairs in my fancy jubba and niqaab in to the silent living room.  Ruby sat pressed up to Rashid wearing a tight pink, low cut, shalwar  kameez  with heavy gold design on  her chest. She's wearing heavy pink and gold eyes shadow and pink lip gloss. Ruby's hair is flowing open and parted over her chest. Pink and gold scarf is around her neck.

She's whispering something in his ear as my mother and father in law sat quietly.  Paled faced and eyes dark.

" I am ready. Shall we go?" I asked.

My mother and father in law looked up surprised. A glimpse of happiness washed over there face. They still haven't excepted ruby as their daughter in law and believe he's made a bad choice.

" Yes my child lets go." Dad said. 

"Where's dada abu?" I asked.

" There not well my child ,  their  asleep upstairs. "

" Oh what's wrong? " I became worried.  " is there sugar high. Or there blood pressure.  I tell them to eat meat and they never do." I was rambling right now.  " their irons probably gone low. Ill be back"

I was about to turn and head upstairs when I heard a high pitched laugh and saw Ruby was laughing.

"Why you worrying so much?. He's a living corpse if you ask me!"she said.

I saw Rashid clench his jaw and glare at ruby. Looks like she not perfect after all?   Rashid loves dada abu a lot.

" Besides he has a headache . Nothing to worry about.  I gave him co-codomol"

" You idiot!" Humaira shouted.

" He's allergic  Co-codomal.  " I said firmly.

Rashid turned pale and stood up.

" What????" She asked shocked

I turned to dad who was stood up now " how long have they been asleep?"

Rashid  ran upstairs followed by Humaira.

"About two hours. " he replied worriedly.

My heart began to race and ran up the stairs followed by mum and dad.

I ran into dada abu's room and saw Rashid on one side and Humaira on the other trying to wake them up. I ran to the bathroom filled the lota ( its like a watering can) with water and ran back to his room and spilled it on his face.

Nothing.

" Rashid call an ambulance. " I screamed without looking at him.

He  took his phone out and left the room.  I saw ruby standing pale faced, eyes wide by the door.

I walked up to dada abu opened their mouth and saw there tongue had swollen. I checked there pulse and breathing it was very faint. And I mean very faint. I tried to put them in to recovery position with Humaira's help.

Rashid entered the room and said they're coming. We heard sirens and Rashid ran down to open the door. 

Two paramedics came up and asked what happened.  we told them everything . The  paramedics asked us to leave the room giving ruby daggers. We stood outside and about 5 minutes later there came outside. 

"Were sorry. He's passed away. time of death 6:45."

Those simple words hit us like a tornado.  My legs began shake. Humaira and mum began to cry. Tears silently fell down Rashid and dads face. And ruby....... Ruby stood face pale mouth open. I felt tears roll down my face.
