Chapter song: Digital Daggers - Bad Intentions

We ran into the hall, toward the scream. Our feet carrying us, along with several others who had heard the sound as well. We came to a turn down the hall and we both froze as soon as we saw the scene. Confusion and fear struck us at the same time as we continued to stare.
A girl was left hanging by her arms from the ceiling, a dark color was wrapping around her wrists told keep her held up to the ceiling. Like some kind of spider web. Cause of death; the only way to kill an Angel.
There was a vicious cut running down the left side of her back, her skin was grey, like Hazel's was. Her hair, which probably looked more lively, was in thin strands hanging on her head. Her eyes were left open, but they held no color.
"What the fuck?" Some guy that had also heard the scream and came running whispered, his voice was shaking.
Pretty soon, the entire hall was filled with Angels. Priam, Evander, Hinnah, and Hector were at my back. Myrina was still silent, but her pale blue eyes were open wide with shock. I kept my eyes on the dead girl hanging in the hallway.
Cohart came rushing through the thick crowd, pushing people to the side to get through. When he was able to finally get to the front, he froze and just stared. His face contorted in anger. "Everyone, step back!" He ordered loudly and I swear, I think everyone in the front jumped back a few feet. Cohart was that scary.
The dark magic hanging the girl was suddenly vanished and her lifeless body dropped to the ground. As soon as it hit the ground, Cohart moved.
Someone stepped beside me. Eclipse. His dark hair and slim body and black clothing told me all I needed to know. "Holy shit. What the hell happened?" He asked me.
"A girl was killed." I told him, but didn't look away from the crime scene.
Cohart turned to the crowd, obviously searching for someone. Then we made eye contact and ushered me. I slipped past people, they gave me weird looks in return, but my objective was to get in the front of the crowd. To Cohart.
I quickly walked over to him and bent down next to him. "What is it?"
"These circumstances can't go unnoticed." He whispered to me, only allowing me to hear. "This is very similar to Hazel's killing."
I looked down at the floor in search of some kind of ritual scarring. But I saw none. But I did see something out of place. A glow on the floor. Like a faint purplish black glow. "Hey, what is that?"
"That's ectoplasm. Left over residue of magic." He explained.
I looked up at the crowd. "Hey, move." I called to them. They looked at me like I was nuts for trying to order them around, but they parted for me. And I followed the mysterious glow down the hall. It was strange, but I managed to follow it until it just stopped.
I looked back at the girl. "Whoever did this, must have been standing here. But there's a difference between Hazel's death and this one. This one... looks like there was force. Hazel... Hazel died on purpose, I think."
Cohart turned back to me, as if caught off guard by my words. But I kept true to them. If what Chuolai said is true, then Hazel sacrificed herself. I'm not sure why, but she did. But if she was tied up and blind folded, who was it that took her wing? There's still a piece of the puzzle I'm missing. Can an Angel even rip off their own wing?
Does that mean there's still a killer?
I thought for a moment. I quickly walked back to Cohart. My steps were wide and determined. I knelt down next to him, already knowing what I was planning to say. "Hazel was killed by someone else."
