"The people are growing restless," says the blonde guard to Myrina, who's standing on the edge of the wall, looking down at the tribal people below. She could see them resting in their camp, none of them appear to be talking, just sitting in silence, in a circle, eyes closed, hands on their thighs. Myrina could hear a slight hum coming from them as well. She guessed they were probably meditating or something along the lines of that, as they waited for Erin to come back.

"What people?" Myrina questions, without taking her eyes off of the group below. Myrina frowns when she sees that the glow of the fire was just that, a glow. She couldn't see the colors.

"The soldiers," he says, arms behind his back. As he looked over Myrina, he knew he had to find some way to protect the first lady. Regret filled his chest when he knew that she was already taken. If only he'd come in just a bit sooner, the woman in front of him wouldn't be able ot get away. He knew he could make he happy. He just wished she could see that. "They're worried."

"They shouldn't be. Erin will come back." Myrina says with full confidence. "She'll have a talk with this lady and everything will be fine."

His eyebrows lower. "What if she does not return?"

"She will," she said it with a bit more fierceness, more to warn the guard to keep his mouth shut about that. She turns her eyes over her shoulder at him. "If that is all, please leave. I wish to be alone."

"One more thing, ma'am," he lowers himself so he's bowing. "I'd like it if you would address me as Darius."

Her eyebrows rose into her hairline at the odd and random request. "That's rather peculiar."

"I know," his face reddens and he hides it even more. "But I want us to be friends, not... just simply guard and queen."

"I'm not a queen," she assures him and turns back around. "I've heard your request. Now please leave me be."

"Yes, first lady." Though, you'd make a good queen. He thought as he walked down the steps.

Being alone, unfortunately, didn't last long. Right after the gaurd, Darius, had left, she heard footsteps approach again. She sighs, about to turn to tell the person to leave, when she heard the deep voice of Silent speak up, "It's a beautiful night, I presume?"

"Silent," Myrina says as he steps beside her and looks down toward the ground. Myrina was caught off by the clothes he'd chosen to wear. A black T-shirt and a pair of jeans. Something she'd never suspected him to wear before. Then again, she didn't think he cared too much about his appearance. "Why are you out here?"

"I'm simply joining you, is that bad?" He says, hands tucked behind his back. Myrina could see his bare arms for the first time. It was an odd sight to see, since Myrina had only ever seen him in a long sleeve cloak. "Erin is important to you, is she?"

Once again, there was something she hadn't expected to hear. "Yes, she is." She said, shifting uncomfortably. "Why?"

His blank eyes were unfocused, but she could see him turn to her, mouth sealed shut, only his voice in the air as he spoke. "I had a young sister at one point. And a daughter of the same age. I've always been fond of the memories I had with them, but I guess memories is all they were destined to be. They both died at very young ages. I always hoped that one day I would be blessed with another daughter, somehow, someway."

Myrina watched as he took hold of the wall, as if he felt he needed to so he wouldn't slip back into the memories he was just speaking of.

"I hadn't expected it, but when Erin came along, I slowly became... well, protective. She may not see it, but I do care for her. Immensely so. It would tear me apart to see anything happen to her. Her carelessness and her hopeful way of looking at things reminds me so much of my daughter. And of my little sister. I can't help but... feel like this is the gods way of blessing me again."
