Chapter Song: Max Schneider - I'll Come Back For You

Waking up next to Myrina was probably the best thing in the world.
Even though nothing happened when we were in bed together, I still loved waking up with my arm under her head and my body against hers. The little clothing added to the affect as well and I found that I didn't want to get out of bed, even though I'm sure I had a lot to do today. Myrina was still asleep when I woke up, her back was turned to me, her hand in mine as she used my forearm as a pillow.
There was a magical time, I believe, when someone's asleep. They're unguarded, vulnerable and yet, I think it's when they appear the most beautiful. Because of that vulnerability, they exude this kind of raw beauty that not a lot of people get to see from someone else. And knowing that Myrina has put herself into my care and is fully trusting me and allowing me to keep her safe while she sleeps, well... it just made me all the more protective of my Myrina.
"My," I whisper into her ear. She doesn't stir at all. "My, come on. We have to get up." I press on, trying to get her to wake up.
She grumbles something, but doesn't actually open her eyes.
"Myrina, we've gotta go see some people today. We've got a busy day."
"Uhmph..." Myrina raised her hand to her eyes, scratching at them with the heel of her palm. "Gods, hush. Sleep." She rolled over on her other side, burying her head into my chest, arms going around me.
I chuckle. "Nope. Up." I sit up, pulling her up with me. She groaned, leaning against me, her eyes finally open. "Wake up. We gotta get goin'."
"Ugh, fine." She leaned off of me, scratching at her eyes as I stood out of bed and searched my bag for clothes. Myrina's lips pressed into my back. "I like waking up next to you."
I smile as I began to pull on a pair of jeans up my legs. "Let's make it a habit." I turn and kiss her. She was still groggy, so there was little response, but I don't think she minded. "Now get up. We probably have a lot of meetings and set-up's to handle today."
Myrina crawled out of bed and rolled her eyes, while she went through her own things in search of clean clothes. "You mean we have to go speak with my mother some more? Great."
"Don't be a sour puss," I warn, as I walk over to her, with a t-shirt in hand. I place a finger on her lips as she turns toward me to argue. "Ah, ah. You're talking to your mother."
"Erin, she's not a good mother." She said, behind my finger, that was still held against her shapely lips.
"It's time you talk to her about it." I kiss her again, after removing my finger from her mouth. "Now, help me put this damn thing on." I motion toward the robotic arm resting on the nightstand.

The first meeting was held in the morning.
The Ambassador asked me to come in as a neutral jury, with her. While the leaders of each designated area of this war, came forward to speak and tell us what they had planned to help us against Cerberus. Rodrick was among them, so I guess this neutral jury thing we had going on wasn't entirely neutral.
Either way, we were getting it done.
The crew that handled Magic, aka Rodrick's crew, introduced a rather interesting idea. Rodrick bowed respectfully to the Ambassador who granted permission for him to speak. "Our team has been inspecting the body of mortals and Angels. Obviously, humans can't fly and they aren't as strong or as capable as an Angel is. We thought hard on it and we think we can create a Spell to imitate the body and capabilities of an Angel. It will make temporary changes to the body physically, but we'll ensure it's only temporary."
