Chapter 4

ELLIES POV:

"Come on Ellie! The Brooks' are already out the front!" Riley yells at me as I put my shoes on.

"I'm coming!" I shout back, "Bye mum."

"How you getting to school? Do you want a lift?" she asks me.

"No it's fine, Beau is driving me, Luke, Jai and Riley," I answer.

She looks at me weirdly, "Beau's back?"

"Yeah, he got back on Friday," I smile.

"Oh," she says looking shocked, "Can you invite Gina and the boys over for dinner on Friday night then."

"Yeah sounds good, I gotta go, bye," I say as I hurry out the door.

"Okay. Bye hun," she answers. I run down my driveway to where Beau's car is parked. I see Luke, Jai and Riley all piled in the back.

"Front seat's yours," Beau smiles as he winds down the window of his car. I smile back and hop in. Beau kisses me on the cheek causing Luke, Jai and Riley to look at us weird.

"What?" I ask looking at them.

"Nothing," they all answer in sync then go on with their own conversation about footy.

"You sleep well?" Beau asks me as he drives off.

"Yeah, you?" I ask.

"Yeah good," he answers flashing his smile.

"So mum wanted to know if you, Gina and the boys wanted to come over for dinner on Friday night," I say to Beau.

"Oh yeah, that should be fine, I will ask mum when she gets home," he answers.

"Okay cool," I smile. We sit listening to the boys conversation for the rest of the way. Once we arrive at school the boys jump out of the car and head off.

"See you this arvo beautiful," Beau looks at me while smiling.

"Bye," I blush. Beau kisses my cheek and pokes my nose giggling. I giggle back and hop out of his car while waving goodbye. I watch him drive off down the road and get my phone out to text Charlotte.

Ellie: Hey you at school yet? :)

Charlotte: Yeah, I am over in the quad with James and Charlie. :)

Ellie: Okay, I am coming now. :)

I make my way over to the quad and spot James. He is really tall so he really stands out in a crowd.

"Hey Ellie!" Charlie says in his English accent. Gosh I love his voice, it is so cute. Charlie moved here about five years ago from London with his family. I had to show him around school so I guess that's why we became best friends.

"Hey Charlie," I say mocking his accent.

He laughs, "You're such a retard."

"I know," I wink back. The bell soon rings for roll call. I slowly walk to my room and take my usual seat. Mrs Mackenzie soon arrives and marks the roll. I can feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. I decide to look at it since my teacher is blind.

Beau Bear: I miss you already.

Ellie Elephant: Aw, I miss you too.

Beau Bear: I wish you could be at home with me. :(

Ellie Elephant: Trust me, so do I, I feel so sick and I don’t know why. :(
