CHAPTER 3: BECAUSE THE NIGHT

Willoughby

Natalie walked into the small diner, seeing it filled with people who had probably lived there their whole lives, giving her a real Mystic Falls vibe. But she didn't care at the moment. She was only there to meet with one person so they could get to their common goal that the newly-turned vampire had thought over.

She recognized the hair color and look of the person she had sought out at a table, having a drink and no doubt having had a little snack before. Natalie could smell it. She walked over to the table with a smirk, sitting down as she threw some of her hair over her shoulder. "Glad you agreed to meet me."

"Wish I could say the same," the other vampire retorted. "Let's cut to the chase. How'd find me and why'd you find me?"

"In case you forgot, you texted me with the specifics," the youngest vampire reminded the other person smugly, but seeing the annoyed glare she got sent, she decided to to simply explain. "Klaus had a list of your possible whereabouts, Damon got a hold of it, meaning that it was easy for me to get a hold of it. I was out of town for a few days, found someone who knew someone who was related to someone who was friend's with the dog of someone who's cat lived with someone who knew someone who had your phone number. And the reason, well, wouldn't it be obvious?"

"Not really, no." the person who sat across from Natalie's head was shook, not really seeing it.

The former huntress rolled her eyes as she spoke. "Because you have the cure, obviously. I think you're getting a little overrated, Katherine."

The curly-haired brunette rolled her eyes at what she felt was very, very annoying. But then again, she found everything Natalie did annoying. "What do you want with the cure? Thought you were newly-turned and turned off."

"It's not like I want the cure for myself. You have the cure, you want to give it to Klaus so you can get your freedom, Klaus wants to give it to Elena so he can have his stupid hybrids and when he does I can snap her skinny little neck again and, this time she won't come back." she smirked in response.

Katherine responded to the smirk with one of her own. "You know, I never thought I'd say this. But when you're like this, my hatred for you was shrinking very, very slightly for a split second. The Petrova fire is still burning."

"We got a deal?"

"We got a deal."

A/N: I know this is short, but it's just a way to introduce you to Natalie and Katherine's little alliance. It won't end well, of course, seeing as they're bitter enemies but they got a common goal and they want to achieve it.

And just in case any Datalie shippers stayed through book one and continued onto book two, I have a line planned in the next chapter that I think you guys will love.
