Calling Natalie Saltzman abnormal would be an understatement. She wasn't abnormal by Mystic Falls standards. Vampire hunter didn't beat vampire, witch, doppleganger or hybrid.

But over the time she's been living in Mystic Falls she found out that she had more family then she thought, then she befriended the vampire that killed her mother, then her best friend turned into a vampire, then she fell in love with her sister's boyfriend, who turned his emotions off, then she found out that she was actually a reincarnation (long story), then she slept with an original (who her siblings later killed) then her sister's boyfriend wasn't her sister's boyfriend anymore.

Now she was ready to find the cure for vampirism, but when Katherine Pierce showed up... it all changed with as Natalie woke up with a gasp, and a new thirst for blood.
