Your POV
"I'm gay. I realized that 10 years later into our marriage. I tried to tell her, but she didn't listen. She didn't sign the divorce papers, so I left. I left her and ran away, which I deeply regret," My dad speaks. "Your mother knew I was cheating on her, she just thought that it was a girl, but no."
I stare down at the table, my hands on it.
"Okay."
"Okay?"
"I forgive you."
----
"Do you think you'll ever see your dad again?" Lauren asks, shifting in my arms.
"I don't know," I respond. "I want to see him, but then again, I don't. I don't know if I would forgive him."
"I think you would, I mean, he's your dad. There's going to be a connection between you two - no matter what."
I look down at Lauren to see her already looking at me.
I smile, "I love you."
"I love you too."
----
"How'd your date with Brad go?" I ask, breaking the silence.
"I didn't go," She says. "I said I wasn't feeling well."
I nod and chuckle, "So you blew him off?"
"Pretty much, yeah." Lauren laughs. "He didn't question it." If I was Brad, I'd go over to her house to make sure she was really okay.
"Does he make you happy?" I suddenly ask. Lauren sighs and looks out the window, then me.
"Yes." She answers. "He does."
"Does he say he loves you when you least expect it?"
Lauren doesn't respond, looking at her cup of coffee.
"Does he make your heart flutter?"
No response.
"But he makes me happy." Lauren quietly says.
"But I can make you happy. I can make your heart flutter. I'll tell you I love you everyday. I'll do all of these things," I say, looking at her. "I forgave you for what you did, so why can't you forgive me and give me another chance?"
"I have to go, Y/N." Lauren quietly says, standing up. "I'll see you later." She walks away, but stops and walks back over to me. She bends down and kisses me on the cheek, then walking away.
I grin, feeling the tingly sensation on my cheek. I place my hand on it, feeling her soft lips on it. I close my eyes, softly sighing.
----
"Lauren! Lauren!" I grin. "Guess what!"
"What?" She asks, laughing at my excitement.
"I graduated!" I start jumping down. "I graduated college! You're coming to my graduation, right?"
"Of course, babe. I promise."
She didn't come.
We broke up and she didn't come. She promised. She broke that promise. It's like, when we broke up, we broke all of our promises to each other.
Not that I didn't want her to come, I was pisses off at her. I mean, she cheated on me. I graduated college.
Bradley didn't come either.
"Get the hell out of here!" I shout at Brad, pushing him.
"You don't even deserve her!" Brad exclaims. I bring my fist back, then forward, punching him in the face.
"Get out." I push him out in the rain, then slamming the door shut.
"Y-Y/N." Lauren is crying. I ignore her and storm up stairs. "Y/N! Listen to me!"
I open the closest, grabbing her things. She grabs my arm, but I shrug her off.
"Y/N! P-please." I open the door and throw her clothes into the rain.
"Get out."
"N-no!"
"Fine, but I'm leaving in the morning."
---
Ally invited all of us to dinner. I didn't want to go, but Bea made me.
I'm sitting in-between Camila and Dinah. It's a dinner party, so we're all dressed up. I'm wearing one of my Dad's designer suits. It's all black and a dark purple tie.
I watch as Lauren enters the room on Brad's arm. She's wearing a black dress and black heels. She's wearing dark red lipstick, making her lips stick out.
Brad sits down without pulling her chair out for her. I shake my head, looking the other way.
"Thank you all for coming," Ally says. "I know we're having trouble, but I - we," She looks at Normani. "Have something to announce."
"Yes," Normani stands up. "We're a couple." It's silent, nobody says a thing. A smile makes it way to my face and I start clapping. Then everyone else joins in.
"Congratulations." I say to them. They thank me and sit back down.
I look at Lauren, while Camila looks at me, Shawn looks at Camila and Brad looks at Lauren.
This dinner shall be interesting.

have a good day, guys!
