Chapter 29

Lauren's POV

"It's official, she's gone." Bea sighs, setting her phone down.

It's been a couple weeks since we last saw Y/N. She hasn't answered anyone's calls. Nor show up at the bar.

"She didn't say goodbye." Camila mummers. "How can she just..leave? So easily?"

"It's easy to leave when you're hurt," I respond, my eyes trained on my shoes. "It's really fucking easy."

Lauren's POV

Luis and I were a couple. We decided to break up, so, who knows where he is now?

I still think of Y/N, hoping she'd come back. Sometimes I wonder if she thinks about me, or ever thinks about showing herself again.

Bea and I still live in the apartment. Somehow, the bills are being paid for. I'd like to think Y/N is the one paying for it, and not her father. It means she remembers.

Austin and Camila - finally - broke up. Turns out, Austin was cheating on Camila. Camila and Shawn are now together.

Ally found someone else, his name is Troy. And Normani and Dinah are a couple now. Bea and Jacob are still the same.

And me? I'm single.

I walk into the bar, taking my coat off. It's not cold, nor warm. It's chilly, perfect weather.

I scan the bar. Nobody is here yet - well, at least anybody I know. I do a double check, my eyes landing on a familiar colored hair.

The girl turns around, and her eyes lock with mine. She smiles, putting her beer down and standing up. She walks over to me.

"Lauren."

"Cara, how've you been?" I ask, my jacket still in my hands.

"I've been okay." She responds.

"Have you uh, heard from Y/N?" I ask. Cara's about to respond, but she looks behind me.

"No..but I think we're about too..now." Cara mutters. I raise an eyebrow and turn around.

Y/N stands in front of the door, wearing black ripped jeans, a t-shirt, a red and black flannel and a black beanie.

Your POV

The bar hasn't changed a bit. I walk further in, going to the back. Demi and I still back, and that's why I'm here - to visit her.

I feel a stare on me, but I keep walking. I enter her office to see Demi on her phone.

"Yo Dems!" I greet her.

She looks up, "Holy shit! Y/N!" She grins and stands up, bringing me into a hug. "How've you been?"

"I've been okay."

"Any lovers?" She wiggles her eyebrows.

I smile, "Yeah, her name is Shay Mitchell."

"Is she here?"

"Yeah, she should be coming in any minuet now."

Lauren's POV

Cara and I walk to the back. A girl in front of us also walk to the back.

"Demi, this is Shay, my girlfriend." Is the first thing I hear. Girlfriend?

I watch as Shay pecks Y/N on the lips. Demi looks up, her eyes locking with mine.

"Uh-oh."

Y/N and her girlfriend turn around.

"Lauren." Y/N nods at me. "And Cara."

"Holy cow!" Cara exclaims. "Where the fuck have you been! I've missed you!" Y/N chuckles and give Cara a side hug.

"This is Shay, my girlfriend." Y/N avoids eye contact me.

"Girlfriend." I mutter. I'm so used to Y/N calling me her girlfriend. "Uh- nice to meet you, Shay. I'm Lauren."

"Why is - Y/N!?" Bea immediately jumps on her. "What the fuck! You didn't call- I was worried sick!" She gives Bea a hug.

"Sorry," she apologizes. "I got caught up. And, I have a girlfriend."

"Really now?" Bea raises an eyebrow. "Well, where is she?"

"Right here." Shay raises her hand, giving her a nice smile. "I'm Shay."

"Damn!" Bea exclaims. "First Lauren and now Shay! Good choice in women." After Bea says that, it goes quiet. "Oh--she didn't know."

"Yeah, well, thanks Bea. Now I have a lot to explain." Y/N groans.

"No worries," Shay smiles. "I think I understand."

"And you're not mad?" Y/N asks.

"No," Shay grins. "How could I ever be mad at you?"

"It's possible," Y/N laughs. "But you're right. You can't be mad at me."

And fuck, the jealousy is back.
