Lydia's POV

It's blue. Blue is a nice color, really, it is, but jesus, how old is Alex now? and he has bright blue hair.

I guess I shouldn't really be so quick to judge, if he wants to have blue hair, let him. yeah, that sounds a lot better.

"I thought it looked nice." He was still standing by the door, and his hand went up to his head to push his hand through his brightly dyed hair.

"No, it does!" I was quick to save, "just very unexpected."

He nodded, staring at me for a few seconds and the whole room fell into an uncomfortable silence.

Honestly, I think I'm a few seconds away from saying 'well, I'm gunna head off' and not even bother trying to explain, or decipher, what just happened.

Wait, were they getting it on in this room?

Next to my office?!

My face scrunched up in a little bit of disgust and a little bit of pride because of their exotic choices. Maybe they're one of those couples that's kind of disgusting but also the couple everybody wants to be.

"We wanted to see you earlier but you didn't come so..." Alex explain, breaking the eerie silence that had come over the three of us.

It dawned on me that they were the people who requested to see me, but who would've thought it was them? How was I supposed to know?

I guess, in a way, now we've seen a lot more of each other than we would have if I was to come in at the time they actually wanted me in here. Well, I guess I can't say seen as the lights were off but I heard enough to understand what was happening.

"So..." I teased, asking Alex to finish his sentence and his cheeks tinted with a mellow pink color.

I suddenly felt arms around my back and a brief moment of panic flashed through me before I turned around to have Jack squeeze himself onto me.

I actually expected an argument, but this is so much better. I snaked my arms around his shoulders, letting my hands dangle from his neck and embracing the hug while it lasted.

"You need to tell us everything. What's happened with your life for the last however long. How are you here? Do you actually like One Direction? These are the important questions." Alex babbled on, asking me more and more and just smiled, squeezing my arms tighter around Jack and breathing in the familiar scent from all those years ago.

"and this is my office," I told Jack and Alex as I opened the door. All of the guys and Alexis were already in the room, glancing back at us as we walked in.

The...thing, with Tony flashed into my mind as I locked eyes with him. I'd completely forgotten about that. Maybe I'm making it a bigger deal than it actually is.

I should just let it go.

I smiled at him to show I'm I wasn't mad and he turned away from me, smiling just as wide with the skin on his neck turning a pale red.

"Pierce The Veil?" Alex turned to me with a shocked look. "You're working with them?"

I guess it is surprising, seeing as I was heartbroken because of them last time they saw me. I guess a lot has changed.

"It's a long story." I whispered to Alex and he nodded, greeting all of the guys separately like old friends do. Jack did the same as I leant back onto my desk, pulling myself up so I was sat on the edge.

As Jack was still talking to Jaime, Alex walked back over to me and leant his arm next to my leg, leaning slightly towards me.

"I can feel the tension already. Why are you even working with them Lyd?" He asked me, and it already sounded like he was worried for me. Its amazing that he still cares, although I know I still care about him I'm surprised it works both ways.

"I didn't have a choice to be honest. I'd just got the job, because of my name mind you, and then I was thrown straight into working with them." I explained and he glanced back at the rest of them.

Jack seems to be telling some sort of joke, all the eyes on him and everyone grinning in the small group. Alex smiled towards him and stared at him for a few more seconds.

"You're so whipped." I whispered with a quiet laugh but he didn't seem to hear me. He turned back around with the same smile slowly fading into amore serious look.

"Yeah, I'm really sorry to hear about the undead thing Lyd. That must suck." He was being serious but I could tell he was making a joke out of the bad situation to put a smile on my face. It worked too.

"Thanks." I laughed back at him, seeing him turn to Jack again and smile as Jack laughed. "You make it so obvious."

"Wait, what? No I don't- what?" He stuttered, immediately turning back to me. I was confused for a good few seconds, staring back at his worried face. He turned to Jack again just to glance at him before looking back at me.

As soon as he saw Jack looking back within the glance he was facing him again. I can't believe they've hidden it for this long. It's so obvious they're together it's actually painful.

"Okay guys, we actually have to work. Are you staying? And can you stop making googly eyes at eachother for 5 minutes?" Jaime listed out. So they know Jack and Alex are together? Nobody told me this.

"I can't help myself, goddamn Lex you looking fucking sexy today." Jack winked at Alex, being overly flirty, and I suddenly got it. They're playing this off as the biggest bromance ever and people actually believe it. Unbelievable.

"Yeah. We'll stay." Alex told Jaime, a twinkle in his eye that wouldn't leave.
