CHAPTER 4 : Penny For A Thought?

I'm about to pass out.
And that's exactly what I did.

"I cant believe this happened" I deep voice spoke
"What do you mean 'you cant believe it'? You caused it" another voice that I recognized oh so well spoke out.
"Keep your voice down, your gonna wake her up" the first voice spoke up.
My eyes flutter open with recognition clearly expressed in them
"Hey Marls"
"Hey Marley"
Nathan and Jake said simultaneously.
Nathan walks towards me with open arms. With each step he takes, I squirm backwards until I hit the cold wall.
Then it dawns on me...
"Where am I?" I manage to voice out.
I look around me for signs of where I was.
"The nurse's office" they said simultaneously..........AGAIN!!!
"Okay guys this is getting weird. Stop talking at the same time."
"I'll take you home" Nathan speaks up first...thankfully.
Jake opens his mouth to protest but I cut him off by nodding... he understands.

Right now I'm in the car with Nathan and it is the most dreadful ride ever. The silence in here is killing me.
Why did I decide to ride home with Nathan? you may ask. Well I want answers.
Answers on why he left so suddenly.
Answers to why now.
Why talk to me now...?
"Penny for a thought?" Nathan says out of nowhere, taking me by surprise.
I sigh "I'm just thinking about what happened between us, why now, after all this time"
When I'm done, he groans/sighs and pulls over.
Things will be said and can't be taken back now...
