Constantly Misimagined

I love you.

I love the way you’re so mysterious.

I love the way you tease.

I love the way you’re so impulsive

I love you, why did you leave.

Your life so extraordinary

Your life so aloof

Your life is all but fictional

Your life will soon conclude.

Yes, you will stay breathing

No, you won’t leave that way

Yes, I thought I loved you

But you’re not the person I thought that would stay.

Leaving clues in your wake

Leaving behind hearts that will break

Leaving your home and your senior year

Leaving it all for a fresh new take.

I thought I loved you

I thought you knew

Until I saw into your cracks,

Until I really knew you.
