What I Can't Say

What I can’t say

Is how you make my heart beat fast

What I can’t say is how your eyes

Look at me

And make me feel faint

With their clarity

In a forever cloudy world

What I can’t say

Is that I’d hate seeing you with someone else

Someone who wouldn’t appreciate you

Like I would

I know I would

But you can’t know

This, my knowing

What I can’t say

Is how I feel about you

When you wear that blue

Shirt

When we walk

On the path

And it makes your eyes seem ever crisper

And makes my heart all but whimper

For you.

What I can’t say

Is how much I love you

With all my heart

And soul

And eyes

And ears

And mind.

But I can’t risk these attributes

For something so selfish as

My heart

When I know without you at all

It won’t be my heart screaming

But my head.

So what I can say to you

Is how I’ve never had

Such a good friend

So loyal and trustworthy

So funny and sweet

With a lifelong friendship all mine to keep.

*A/N: So this is sort of different from the usual rhyming poems that I do, I wanted to try more melodic.  I think it may still need some work, but I wasn't sure exactly in what way, so I decided to post it.  Thank you to everyone who is reading, I appreciate all of your votes and comments! <3*
