Sehun fidgeted with his hands, as his knee continued to bob up and down. He was becoming impatient, and he wasn't happy being sat in the same car, next to what he considered to be his biggest mistake.

The tension in the atmosphere was so dense it could have easily been cut with a knife. Honestly, they were an odd bunch, and they didn't know what to say to each other, their clear dislike for one another was weighing heavily in the atmosphere.

Your friend sighed softly, her whole body started to shake. She couldn't believe she had ended up in this situation, and she honestly couldn't believe she had ever ended up doing what she did.

You see, you had been best friends since forever. She owed you so much, she would never be able to repay you for everything you had done for her.

She didn't have a good history, she carried a heavy burden on her shoulders. You understood that, and you accepted her the way she was, broken and all, and little by little, and she had started to open up to you, you had tried to help her glue her pieces together, and replace the ones that had been lost.

She wanted to kick herself over having hurt you, but she wasn't childish enough to believe she could ever go back.

Your friend had abandonment issues, and needed a constant display of attention and affection. You see, her father left when she was very little, and she has never seen him since. Her mother remarried, and her new love became the one and only in her heart. As is only natural to assume, her stepfather hadn't shown her the love and affection every child needs from a parent, and she had grown to believe she would never be worth loving.

She was broken inside, her family had been chaotic, even after it had been rebuilt, and she no longer knew what to do with herself. Every single relationship she had been in had failed dramatically, for she had never found anyone who had loved her, and accepted her the way she was, they all claimed she was too high maintenance to be able to deal with her. Or when she did find someone good, she somehow managed to mess the relationship up somehow, cheating on them, lying to them, or ruining the relationship in any other way.

But then you appeared in her life, and picked her up from the ground. You looked at her with eyes full of hope, and admiration, and you helped her become whole again. And she would always be grateful to you for lending her a shoulder to cry on, an arm to lean on, and a heart to open up to.

She would never be able to repay you for everything you had done for her, for your loyalty, your patience, and your unconditional love. And that bothered her. You were so perfect, and she was so broken and hurt inside, she envied you, subconsciously, she wished she could be as strong as you, as pure as you, as good hearted.

Your life hadn't been easy either, but you had pulled through, always looking at the bright side of things. And here she was, bitter and resentful, hating the world almost as much as she hated herself. So when she saw the opportunity to feel above you, just this one time, she took it, and she hurt you, the one way a friend is NEVER supposed to hurt her best friend.

When Kyungsoo parked his car, all three of them immediately tensed up. Your former friend straightened her position, and immediately began fidgeting, picking at the nail polish on her hands.

Kyungsoo stopped the car, and got out, giving the two others a slight look that hinted at annoyance, but was otherwise completely blank. Sehun wondered what might be running through his mind at that specific moment in time, he wondered how the older boy must have been feeling, giving away the one thing that gave his life meaning, and he understood then, what true love was.

As they all made their way to Kyungsoo's front door, the older boy stopped them both, before turning to them, with his keys clinking in his hands.

"She has no idea I brought you here, so I won't be held responsible for her reaction. But if either of you guys hurt her in the slightest, I will not restrain myself from kicking you out of my house in the harshest of ways, understood? You go first, Sehun and I will stay behind." Kyungsoo told them, his tone not leaving any room for disobedience. They both nodded sharply, too afraid to speak, and too afraid of somehow messing up. This was their only chance.

Kyungsoo opened the door, and walked in with Sehun and your former friend. He and Sehun walked into the kitchen, as he texted for you to come out to the living-room.

You walked out of your bedroom, dressed in a beautiful floral printed dress that Soo had bought you a month ago as a gift, and you looked so beautiful, he considered not going along with his plan, but he knew it was the right thing for you.

The moment you saw the girl standing in the center of your living-room, you froze on the spot, unable to respond. A part of you yelled for you to run at her, and tackle her onto the ground so you could punch her repeatedly in the face, but the other part of you just wanted to sit down and cry, as you took it all in.

"Hi..." your former friend muttered uncomfortably, as she played with one foot onto the ground. You nodded your head at her, unable to form words.

"I know you probably will wonder why I am here, and you probably didn't want to see me at all, but I needed to talk to you." She started, looking up at your perfect poker face. You nodded again.

"I'm sorry. I know sorry doesn't cut it, and it doesn't begin to fix what I did. Nothing will ever fix what I did. But please believe me when I say I truly am sorry, and I regret ever hurting you. I wish I could tell you I don't know what came over me, but the truth is, I know why I did it, and it is the lowest thing I could have ever done." She began, and you felt tears springing up in your eyes.

"Why?" You choked out the demand, as you tried to keep your stance, with your feet slightly apart, and your arms crossed over your chest.

"I am jealous of you. I have always wanted to be you, to be as strong as you, as smart as you, and overall as good as you. You have a good heart, your soul is pure, and I am just broken. I just wanted to feel better than you just once." She admitted, her words squeezing through sobs and tears.

"You had no reason to be jealous of me. You are worth just as much as I am. I myself am a little broken too, but I won't let that stop me... Look... I... I don't think things will ever go back to the way they were before, and I don't think we can go back to being friends like we were, but I will always be here when you need me, if you need me, okay? You'll find someone who makes you happy, and you have Sehun now, you've already gotten down to the lowest you can be, the only way you have left is to go up." You told her with a sad smile, as you walked over to her, and hugged her tightly. She sighed.

"Sehun never was mine. He never will be. He still loves you. I lied, it was never a continuous thing, it was just that one time... I thought I should clear things up... I'm so sorry Y/N... Thank you for always being there... You are a true angel..." She said, as she pulled away from you with a sad smile, and walked out the door, feeling a little less broken than before, but a lot emptier too.

You felt tears rolling gently down your cheeks, softly tickling your skin, before you could wipe them away. You were sad, but you knew she would never be a true friend to you again. You turned towards the kitchen, and noticed Kyungsoo staring at you with an uneasy expression plastered on his face.

"What's wrong Soo? Did you plan this?" You asked him, beckoning him forward with your finger. He nodded awkwardly.

"There is something else you have to know, but I promise I will explain everything." He told you, closing his eyes tightly, before pulling Sehun from behind him.

Your eyes widened, and your heart felt like it was being squeezed to the size of a peanut in his hands the moment you put your eyes on him. This was it, this was the moment you had dreaded the most.
