Violet POV
It was really late at night or really early in the morning, I could not tell. I lay in bed and stared at the ceiling. I had a ton of questions running through my mind. What would've actually happened if I made it through the forest and back home? Would my Father be happy to see me? Would I be able to continue school? And now that I'm stuck here, would I ever see my friends ever again?
I knew that I had Ash, Aiden, and Caleb, but I meant my friends before the whole vampire scenario. Just get some rest, Violet. You're overwhelmed with everything that has happened to you. I'm sure Ash would let me visit my friends, no harm could be done then.
The small knock on my door woke me up. The sun was barely rising. I groaned. I probably got four hours of sleep at most. I didn't care how I looked when I opened the door. The darn person woke me up, they will see the ugly in me.
My eyes widened when the darn person was the queen! I curtsied and let her into my room. She settled onto the couch and waited for me to properly get dressed and washed. Oh crap Violet! You've managed to embarrass yourself once again. I silently groaned to myself. Why was she such an early bird?
"I came here to simply apologize to you. I am aware of my mistakes and I would like forgiveness." She started once I settled in a chair. "I should not judge people of their rank nor first impression. Forgive me." A small smile was on my face when she finished. It feels awesome to have the queen ask for forgiveness from you. I leaned back in the chair with my arms crossed. What game was she playing at?
"No worries. There will be no grudges or tensions between us. We can move onward from here on out." I replied professionally. She stood and gestured for me to get up as well. She pulled me into a motherly hug, one that I've never had before. A tear fell down my cheek and I hugged her back even harder. "Thank you." I said. She patted my back gently.
"I trust you to take care of my Asher." She whispered in my ear then departed the room. I cried even harder then fell to the floor. My life has been turned completely upside down in the past week and I was grateful for it. I finally had a mother figure in my life. There was no such thing as 'too late'. I will always need one. She will treat me as one of her own. Tears of joy and relief sprang down my face.
Everything seemed surreal. I've never imagined my life going this far. To feel this warm love from everyone was all I could ever ask for. I could get used to having these amazing people in my life, especially Ash.
