Violet POV
The sun stood high in the sky. The light shown through the tall, overarching windows. The wind blew through the cracked French doors. I looked at the person before me. I could hardly recognize her. The way her hair was tied in a tight bun. The white lace traveling down her arms perfected the shape of her neckline. Those gray eyes that seem to be dancing with joy.
I took a deep breath and turned to face Jilly, mother, and the queen. They wore proud smiles. They were dressed in blood-red gowns that reached the floor; each one of unique style. I took a deep breath and pulled them in a big group hug.
Mother offered her hand. I grabbed it with a smile. I got to spend this wonderful time with my mommy; not one bit of love had been replaced. But this was really happening. The moment that Ash and I had waited so long and fought so hard for. The moment that we would seal our love, commitment, and lust.
We walked down the glossy, marble hallway. Jilly stood in front with the queen following her. Mother and I were at the back of the train. I was handed the pink bouquet of mums. I smiled warmly at my mother when her eyes teared up. I would never forget that she adored these flowers as well.
Another deep breath was necessary. My heart was pumping so loudly that the person down the hall could hear it. We halted in front of the grand, dark oak doors. Cameron rounded the corner with Derek, in which I am grateful that they have become mates. They wore bright smiles. Today is a special day to spend with my family.
Cameron hooked his arm around Derek's. Jilly wrapped her's with Caleb's. The queen stood beside mommy. And lastly, I stood at the back of the line with my hands shaking. I clutched the bouquet even tighter. The adrenaline coursing through my body might be enough to power the castle. I bit my lip in anticipation. Five more minutes and I would be standing beside the man that I love unconditionally.
The soft music sounded through the thick, wooden doors. One by one, the doors would open and reveal someone other than me. Cameron. Then Jilly. Then mom. Now me. I took a deep breath and ignored my overly-thumping heart.
The doors opened wide and I stood in the center, frozen on my feet. A different soundtrack had begun and the small number of guests rose on their feet. All eyes were on me. Standing directly in front of me was the man in the dashing, black Armani suit. His warm chocolate eyes were piercing into my gray ones. His adorable smile was accompanied with the dimple on his right cheek. His hair was not a piece out of place. I took in the masterpiece before me as I took a step at a time down the aisle, which had been sprinkled with deep-red rose petals.
Caleb and Cameron stood by his side. They also wore slick black suits, but nobody could wear it better than Ash. Jilly was standing alone on my side of the with a smaller rose bouquet. Aidan sat on the first pew with mom. They all looked at me in adoration. I couldn't stop from blushing and sending them all a small smile. I couldn't thank them enough for being with me on this special day.
A hand reached out in front of me and I hadn't realized that I made it to the end of the aisle. I placed my smaller hand into Ash's large and strong hand. The familiar electrical shock traveled down my arm. I blushed and stepped up to stand by his side.
His mother rounded the alter and cleared her throat to initiate the guests to be seated. A squeeze on the hand felt reassuring to me. I looked up to Ash. He bent down to the level of my ear. "You look very stunning, angel." My cheeks felt hot when he pulled back. He flashed a smile then sent a wink. This guy might've just made me melt on the spot. It was confirmed. My heart felt like jelly.
"We are gathered here today to celebrate two special souls declaring their love. My son, Asher Sinclair, has found, Violet Skye, to be the perfect woman in his life and I could not have asked for a better daughter." The queen started. My eyes were already tearing up. Don't be a mess by the end of this ceremony, Violet. I gave a small smile in return.
"She has brought great adventures to this castle, in which we have never seen before. Although there have been many ups and down, we are glad that you have joined the family, Violet." She stopped to look into Ash's eyes. "I know what is right for my prince, all the right answers are standing next to you, my dear. Father would be very proud of you." Her eyes shifted to mine. They were teary as well. "Love Asher as Raymond has loved me. You will live a perfect fairytale, darling." She sent a nod in my direction. I took a deep breath and turned so I was facing directly at Ash, with his hands around mine.
"Ash, you have given me an adventure of a lifetime. I would never replace it for anything in this world. You taught me that there was still hope and love. You showed me the definition of a partner. You never led me to disappointment. In repaying you, I will stand by your side through thick and thin. No matter what comes between us, we will defeat it together." I paused. His deep brown eyes were glossy. I tried to look past the tears. "You led me into a world where fate controls all things. You gave me another chance. I can not thank you enough for saving me." I gave a wide smile. "I love you very much, Asher Sinclair. My love for you is indescribable."
He cleared his throat and smiled at Aidan to come up to the alter. The little guy was dressed in an adorable black suit and a red tie. His signature toothless grin came up to Ash and he opened the velvet box. I reached in to grab the platinum wedding band. I lifted his ring finger and slid it on. The ring was a perfect fit. Butterflies were non-stop fluttering in my stomach. I bit back a smile. I was ecstatic to see him wearing the wedding ring that I had chosen. It fit his look perfectly.
"Violet Skye, my world spins for you. I wake up every morning with a smile knowing that I will be by your side. There's nothing more perfect than the smile each time you see me. I cherish you and everything about you. The way your nose scrunches in your sleep. The way your beautiful gray eyes glitter. The way you laugh at everything that I say, even when I am trying to be serious. That's the thing. You always brighten my mood, no matter how serious the situation is. I would not have asked for a better mate. You are my unconditional love. Nothing could get in our way." He stopped and brushed the lone tear traveling down my cheek. What he had said was beautiful and I wished to replay it in my mind forever. "I love you, Violet." He whispered.
Aidan got his cue to walk onto the alter and offer his older brother the other velvet box. I inhaled sharply. There lay the darkest ruby ring with a halo of diamonds. Ash lifted my shaking hand. He raised my hand to his lips and kissed it very softly. The gentle brush of his lips against my knuckles set the greatest waves to electricity. I smiled widely as his long and delicate fingers raised the fourth finger on my left hand. He slid the rock on with ease. I bit my lip. I was overly happy. Our fate had officially been sealed through vows and gentle touches, that had the greatest affects.
The queen had tears streaming down her cheeks. She cleared her throat and looked past our shoulders to gesture for the guests to rise. In one swift move, they all did.
"You are now declared husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Her voice boomed through the garden. There were claps and whistles. I blushed and was pulled closer to Ash. I could not wait to kiss those lips that I have been craving for since I've walked down the alter. His breath brushed my face. His fingertip stroked my cheek and brushed a loose tendril of hair aside. I stared into his eyes and seemed lost in time. The room had frozen and it was only us two at the alter. His eyes traveled down past my lips and to the nape of my neck.
He bent down and trailed his drawn fangs down my jawline. My breathing hitched. I leaned my head back slowly in pleasure. What about the kiss? My eyes dilated as he bit down exactly where he did on the night that we had mated.
"I love you, Violet Skye. You are mine, forever." A bloody kiss.
