Asher POV

If Violet treats Aidan like this, then I can imagine how well she will treat our children. I would want to be at that point some time in life, it's an amazing thought. I can see myself living eternity with Violet and have our own beautiful family.

A smile crept on my face. Warmth filled my heart. Violet. Us. That made me smile even wider. Who knew that something could bring the two different people together?

I carried them to my bed and made sure that Aidan slept in the middle. I got some shuteye for about an hour before getting smacked in the face. I sat up in alarm and looked around. Aidan's hand was balled up in a fist and just so happened to take a swing at my face. I chuckled but rubbed my jaw. The boy could hit.

I could not sleep at all. I should be tired after the long day, but there was so much adrenaline flowing through my body. I stood and paced the room. Well I could see if Caleb's on duty right now, then we can hang out for a bit.

The castle was absolutely silent, not a single footstep echoed through the hallways. I passed the study then stopped on my tracks when I saw Father sitting there reading a book. I haven't spent as much time with him as I used to. I felt guilty since I have been spending that time with Violet. "Come on in, son." Father closed his book and looked at me with a raised eyebrow. I offered a nice smile and sat down. "Is there anything wrong?" He asked with his voice filled with concern. I shook my head with a reassuring smile.

"I just want father and son alone time. I feel like I haven't spent enough time with you for the past couple weeks, and it has been gnawing in the back of my mind for the past few days. I want to chat about anything besides sword fighting." I told him.

He chuckled and sat beside me. "You are forgiven, son. You shall not worry about anything. I understand that you have a lot on your mind and now you're especially busy since you've found your mate." He paused for a bit and stared at the floor.

"I remember when I had first met your Mother. She hated me, of course, but what comes around goes around eh?" He chuckled and looked at me. "You're going to be a great king, and with some proper training, I think Violet will be a great queen." That put a big smile on my face.

"Thank you, Father." I felt ecstatic. Not even a word to Violet and father's ins heart had already accepted her. He nodded with a warm smile.

"I heard that you kids made quite the mess yesterday." I held my breath and let out a nervous laugh. 'Oh yeah', I said. He gave a hearty laugh. "My brother and I used to have fun like that all the time, boy! I definitely saw myself doing that when mother told me."

"Caleb can pass as my other younger brother." I laughed. "Father, do you think that-"

CRASH! I did not even finish my sentence when a loud noise thundered from the front entrance. We rushed out and saw the people that I hated the most.

"Anabelle."
