Jade P.O.V
It's been a week and a half since my last encounter with Axel. He hasn't called nor tried to text me. I don't know what I was thinking going to see him. Landon is most likely silently judging me in his head. "What the hell were you thinking Jade?" "Why would you trust him?" I can almost hear him saying it out loud.
It's been several days since Landon got me a brand new phone and it's been my biggest distraction. 64 gigs of endless war and casino games. I'm laying on my bed playing Summoner's War and my phone rings. A blocked number.
"Hello?" I answer the call.
"Hey there sexy. Meet me by the gym in 20 minutes." The unknown voice says and my phone beeps and hangs up.
What the hell? I hesitate before grabbing my jacket and heading out the door. Landon doesn't have to know. Landon went out to take his mom to chemotherapy so I had the enormous house to myself.
I head down the long driveway and start off towards JJ's gym. The gym isn't open today. JJ is probably getting high or out drinking with his friends.
I keep walking at a fast pace while huddled in my oversized hoodie watching my breath become visible in the cold air. It's already started to snow and not lightly either.
I nearly walk past the gym when I hear a whistle. I turn to my right and see Axel. Oh shit. I take a step backwards when he grabs my arm.
"Don't even think about it sweet cheeks." He chuckles.
"Let me go." I croak.
"Let you go? I went to fucking prison because you couldn't keep your fucking mouth shut. Also, your little boyfriend beat the shit out of me. So do you really think you're going anywhere?" He growls.
I try pulling my arm away trying to pull my phone out and call Landon when Axel grabs my phone and throws it in the snow. He grabs me by my neck and throws me down against the ground using most of his strength. I gasp for air as the wind is knocked out of me and I try to claw my way out of his grip.
He stares down at me with a smirk on his face.
"This is what bitches like you get." He says as he punches me in my left eye.
My head is already spinning from the blow as I use every bit of strength I have to try and get up.
"Axel.. Please.." I beg.
"Axel please!" He mocks me in a high pitched tone of voice then laughs. "You're so pathetic."
His words meant nothing compared to the beating I was getting. Blood was pouring from my nose and spilling onto the snow. My lip was busted and already starting to swell. Just when I thought it was over, Axel pulls out something I can't quite make out my head is spinning so much.
I focus in on the object and it's a knife. I let out a blood curdling scream just before Axel plunged the knife right in my abdomen.
That's when everything went black.
Landon P.O.V
My phone rings and I look to see who it is. Jade. My heart jumps a little and I smile as I answer my phone.
"Hello?" I answer.
The other end of the phone is filled with loud thumps and then an ear splitting scream.
"Jade?!" I shout into the phone.
No answer. Just silence. The phone beeps and the call ends.
It must've been a few seconds before I snap out of my daze and look down at my mother who was getting her weekly chemotherapy treatment.
"Is everything alright?" She asks weakly noticing my newly pale skin.
"Mom.. I've got to go.. Will you be okay until I get back?" I ask impatiently.
"Yes sweetie of course. Go go go." She urges me.
I run out of the hospital and call JJ. C'mon, c'mon pick up. After 4 rings he picks up.
"Hey man!" He says.
"JJ! Where is Jade?!" I nearly scream.
"Uh, I don't know dude. I thought she was at your place." He replies.
"JJ I need your help. Where could she be?" I ask growing more impatient by the second.
"Maybe she's blowing off some steam or something." He says. I know exactly what that meant.
I hang up the phone and sprint to my car. I speed out of the parking lot and down the road. At this point I don't care if I'm caught speeding. I'm going nearly 100 and before I know it I'm already at the gym. I park my car and don't even bother to shut the door. I look around and there's just a thick blanket of snow on the parking lot. Something shiny captures my attention and I sprint over to it. Jade's phone. Surrounded by a lot of blood. I look over, scanning the parking lot and the building. There's a huge blood puddle and drag marks in the snow. I run in the direction of the drag marks and turn the corner of the building. Jades laying on her side in the snow with a knife in her abdomen.
"Jade!" I scream.
I run towards her and hold her, not daring to touch the knife.
"Jade.. What did you do.." I feel tears sting my eyes and cheeks.
I simultaneously call 911 and impatiently tell them the incident and location. The ambulance is close and all can hear is sirens.
"Hold on Jade.. Please.." I say.
"Please don't leave me.. I love you.."
