Chapter 3

When the two socs got out they told them to to came with them.
"What do You guys think you are doing walking around with this trash?" Said one.
"We're not trash you scum!" I screamed.
"Stop it stop it stop it," Cherry screamed.
"Why we can take these guys," said Two-bit.
"Cause I hate fights alight I just hate them." She screamed, wait a second and we'll go with you."
"Ponyboy come here," she said," you know that if I see you in school and don't wave at you then please don't take it personal ok," she said.
"Yeah I understand," he said back.
Then they left and the guys said," watch your back will you,".
Then we were walking home and Two-bit found a hat. Then we went to the lot cause Johnny's parents were fighting again. We talked for a while and then went to sleep I woke up to Johnny saying to get up. We did as we were told and walked home. I wanted to go an a walk so I went back to the lot with Johnny boy. And then Pony came and tripped over me he was scared and I asked," what's wrong Pony?"
"Darry he he hit me," he said stuttering his words.
He asked for a light and Johnny gave him one and we were walking to the park and the socs came up looking for us we were on the money bars.
"You better watch out this is our territory," Johnny Said trying not to be scared.
"Hey chick Greasers what muscles are you showing off?" A dude said.
"The ones you don't have," I say back.
"You know what Greasers are? White trash with long greasy hair." A guy said.
You guys know what Socs is? White trash with mustangs and madras." I said back.
Then we take off but they tackle us they start to push and pull us out of the fountain me and Pony kept screaming Johnny's name. Then everything went black. And I woke up to Johnny saying," I...I... I killed him."
After the talking we ran to Dally we figured if anyone could get us out it was Dally.
Dally talked to us and told us everything to do. We did as he told us. Me and Pony were at the church and we went outside and pumped some water over our hands. Then we heard someone so me and Pony got in a cellar thing and when we saw it was just Johnny we ran out to see him.
He told us to get inside cause we ain't supposed to be outside so we followed him in and started unpacking what he bought and I pulled out a thing of peroxide and said," no no no we ain't dying my hair."
Come on you know if we get caught we can't match the descriptions." He said.
"No I can't be blonde I'll look like a Soc." I said back then there it was I had blonde hair and I looked stupid. And they also cut there hair and died Pony's too.
