Happy reading xx
-Alyssa's POV-
I picked up the picture frame and stared at it again, making sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me.
What the hell?
The picture only consists 6 of us. But behind Cara was another girl. She had a ghostly figured. She was wearing a white dress with what seems like blood stains dabbed on little parts of the dress. She held an old teddy bear in her arms as she smiled at the camera.
My body shook in fear as I slid down under my comforter and prayed to fall asleep.
Just let me forget this for a while.
******************************
Let's just say I didn't get any sleep last night. The picture was still bothering me. Not having the balls to look anymore, I grabbed the picture frame and ran to mom's room.
"Mom!" I barged in.
"Yes sweetie?" She responded, looking slightly worried.
"Take a look at this picture and tell me what you see."
She smiled and slowly pried the frame out of my hands.
"I remember this picture." A tear slid down her face.
"Anyway, to answer your question, I see your dad, Cameron, Cara, Jen, you and myself. What's your point?" She furrowed her eyebrows.
"No, look behind Cara. Look at what's behind Cara." I pushed.
"Nothing is behind Cara." She looked at me, confused.
I snatched back the picture and stared at it. Mom was right. There isn't anyone behind Cara. My face paled as I stared at the picture.
"What's wrong sweetie?" Mom asked, concerned.
That's when I realised I couldn't hold it anymore. I told Mom everything. From when we first moved here to this foreign presence to the little girl in the picture.
"Its back?" Mom gasped. I nodded my head in response.
She took the picture frame back and glanced at it once more.
"There's nothing behind Cara."
"I know but there was last night. I swear I saw a little girl in a dress, clutching her teddy bear." I begged, hoping mom would believe me.
"We'll call some paranormal hunters to check this place alright?"
I only nodded. I have a feeling this thing is too strong for paranormal hunters to handle.
Best hunters in the state, country, world, universe. I know this isn't a normal spirit. It's much much stronger than anything else.
*****************************
"Hello, I'm Justin and this is my wife, Victoria." They greeted as mom led them in.
They asked for permission to set up some equipments. They laid some fancy computers and mics on the dining table.
"Alyssa Taylor, I assume." Justin put out his hand and I shook it politely and nodded.
"I'm going to have to ask you a few questions." He sat down at the head of the table and pressed record on his recorder.
"I heard you can communicate with the spirit world."
"Yes I can."
"Have you felt or seen anything recently?"
"Yes. Since I moved into this house."
"Has anyone close to you passed on?"
"Yes, my dad and siblings."
The questions were basically the same. It went back and forth.
"Have you ever tried communicating with someone not alive?"
"No, I haven't." I replied in monotone.
"Okay, that's all. We're going to examine this place overnight and see how it goes. I suggest you take your little sister somewhere else because you and your mom need to stay here to see what's happening. You're not getting any sleep tonight." Justin said.
***************************
We took Jen to one of mom's friends house for the night. We explained to mom's friend what was going on and she understood.
Mom and I returned back to our house and watched the experiment. I noticed that they placed camera's all over the house. Each camera had a little mic connected to it.
I looked at the screen and saw nothing yet.
"What time did you feel them?" Victoria asked. She had headphones on her ears as she eyed the screen.
"Normally around 3am." I answered.
"That's the usual time. Every witness I asked answered 3am."
We waited and waited until 3am but still nothing. The clock struck exactly 3.14 am and still nothing.
I glanced at mom and realised she was on coffee can number 3.
I checked my watch. It showed 6.45am. Nothing. We saw nothing the whole night. What the hell? Were they hiding? Did they know the paranormal hunters were here?
"There seems to be nothing wrong with this house ma'am." Justin informed mom.
"Everything is fine. No weird movements, no appearance, nothing." Victoria added.
Feeling scared, I asked "Can you please examine one more night?"
They looked at each other before nodding their heads.
"But you and your mother need to get some rest first." Victoria advised.
One more night.
