Happy reading xx
-Alyssa's POV-
Xavier.
Why? Isn't going after my sister and I enough? Why the Evans'?
We did nothing wrong. The spirit world is it's own world. Its not supposed to conjoin with our world.
"Alyssa you have to tell me more about this." Victoria begged.
I nodded and slid out my iPhone from the back pocket of my jeans. I searched up for the article I found a few days ago and showed it to Victoria.
Lets just say she did not take it well. She handed me my phone back and hugged her daughter closer to her.
"Zoë said he's going to hurt her. What does she mean?"
"I don't know. How old is she?"
"7."
"She can still see things from the spirit world. Her third eye hasn't closed yet. Truthfully speaking, she is still young therefore her spirit is weak, just like mine. Spirits normally target children below the age of 10 or a person with a weak spirit or zero faith in God. That's why this whole so called family is after me, my sister and Zoë." I said.
"But when I came in and asked Justin what had happened, he said he had forgotten. What actually happened?" I continued.
"I was downstairs having a cup of coffee then I heard the sound of glass shattering. So I ran and got Zoë. Then I wanted to get Justin but the door was locked. It finally opened and Justin was laying on the floor unconscious with glass around him." Victoria explained, painfully.
"The thing I don't understand is why this thing is after Justin." I said, confused.
"Is it because he can see things others can't too?"
"I hope not."
I really hope not.

After arriving home, no scratch that, the house, I sat down and started thinking.
Was Justin hurt because of me? If he didn't investigate this house, he wouldn't have gotten hurt. Its all because of my damn problems everyone else pays the price.
Stupid god damn third eye.
"Aly!" Mom called, snapping me out of my thoughts.
She was wearing a red and white apron with flour covering half the apron.
"School starts tomorrow. Have you registered? Did you get your school supplies?" Mom asked.
"I know. Yes and yes."
"Alright. Go to bed. It's 1.30am."
I wobbled back to my room. Sleeping was my new fear. The dark was my new fear. After everything, I dread the night.
I slowly crawled under my comforters and placed my injured leg exposed. Apparently I'm supposed to let it 'breathe'. Sleep slowly welcome me with open arms.
I woke up to a sharp pain digging into my ankle. It felt like someone was pulling my ankle apart.
I jerked awake and looked around but I saw nothing. The pain was unbearable. I held in my screams as I squirmed around trying to stop the pain.
"Fuck!"
"What's wrong Aly?" someone asked.
I snapped my head towards the direction of my door, hoping to see mom or Jen there, but the door was closed and there was no one in the room.
I tried switching on my lamp but it couldn't light up. Stupid bulb had to fuse now when I needed it the most.
The pain was building every second. I tried screaming but I couldn't. I couldn't speak or scream like something was blocking my voice box.
I screamed one last time and that's when I heard footsteps. My door flung open and Mom ran in.
"Aly. What happened?" Mom asked, worried.
I still couldn't speak so I frantically pointed at my ankle, trying to tell her.
"Jesus. What happened?" she stared at my ankle with wide eyes.
I was in too much pain to actually process my surroundings. The next thing I knew it, I was in the back of the ambulance and Mom continuously telling me to stay awake. My eyelids drooped and everything faded into darkness.
**********************************
"Your daughter has fractured her ankle. It's a bimalleolar fracture. Both her tibia and fibula are broken. Which means she has to be on crutches for 9-12 weeks. Do not apply too much pressure when walking. This fracture can get very serious if not taken care of. Stay away from dangerous activities and sports." the doctor told Mom and I.
Apparently, no one knew how it got fractured. According to my previous scan results, I only sprained my ankle and was told to ice it. No one knew how or what happened to my ankle.
I wobbled out of the hospital trying to get used to the crutches.
"What exactly happened just now?" Mom asked.
"I really do not know. I woke up with excruciating pain in my ankle and someone asking me what was wrong."
"What do you mean 'someone asking me what was wrong'?" she quoted with fingers."I heard someone ask what was wrong and I thought it was you or Jen but it wasn't. You weren't there yet when I heard it."
"Who was it?"
"I don't know."
