Happy reading xx
-Alyssa's POV-
I was walking along the narrow streets. I looked around. Where was I?
I couldn't remember anything. On my way home, I spotted a cute little girl wearing a baby blue dress with her hair up into two pigtails, sitting on the sidewalk. I bent down and saw her crying.
"What's wrong?" I asked the little girl.
"My daddy hit me." She cried and rubbed her eyes.
I observed her. One eye was swollen, her hands had bruises and jagged scars which looked like it was cut by broken glass and her cheek had a long deep slash against it.
"Why did he hit you?" I asked as I sat beside her.
"He's not my real daddy. He's my step daddy. He doesn't like me and my brother." She said softly.
"Did you tell your mommy?"
"My mommy isn't here." She cried louder.
"What's your name?" I asked as I hugged her.
"Rebecca." She responded.
My eyes widened in shock as I pulled away from her and looked at her. She started laughing and she looked completely different. She was wearing a white dress with blood all over it.
Just like in the picture.
I jerked awake and immediately switched on my lamp. Sweat coated my forehead.
It's just a dream.
3.13 am
Are you freaking kidding me?
I looked around my room and noticed my walk-in closet was left opened. I got up and closed it.
I laid flat on my back on my bed and started thinking. What's happening? Am I dying?
Suddenly, I felt something tug at my leg. I must be delusional I thought to myself.
Next thing I knew, I was on the floor screaming. It was dragging me somewhere. I continued screaming and kicking.
I was dragged into my closet. The door of my closet shut.
"HELP! MOM!" I yelled.
Soft laughter of a child was all I heard before darkness overtook my vision.
**************************
I woke up, in the god damn CLOSET, trying to figure out what the fuck happened last night.I got up from the position it pulled me in and stretched my aching muscles, screaming in the process because it hurt.
"Aly! Alyssa!" I heard Mom come into my room.
Where the hell did she go? I heard her mutter.
"In here." I shouted back.
I heard Mom unlock the sliding door from outside and slid it open.
"Why is it lock from the outside and what are you doing lying in your closet?" She asked, confused.
I tried getting up but my legs wouldn't listen. I fell back down and cringed at the sharp pain piercing into my lower back.
"Aly! What's wrong!" Mom bent down and asked me.
"L-last night. Something dragged me in here."
I looked at my leg and realised that my ankle was dislocated. I tried stretching it out but failed as I hissed in pain.
"Your ankle!" Mom pointed out.
Thank you captain obvious.
"Lets get you to the ER."
****************************
"Your X-Ray shows that your ankle is not dislocated." Dr Parker announced."But can't you see its obviously dislocated." I said starting to get annoyed.
Sleep deprivation and me don't go well together.
"Yes I can see it. But your X-Ray is just fine. You see, A dislocated ankle is a severe injury which usually happens in conjunction with a fracture or complete rupture of the lateral ankle ligaments. But your ankle on the X-Ray shows that your ankle is not even fractured. It seems to be swollen. You should ice it. That should do the trick. I'll wrap it for you."
I sighed. What's happening to me?
"Thank you, doc." I smiled and wobbled out.
"Mom. I don't think it's swollen. It doesn't look swollen."
"Just listen to your doctor and do what she says. If nothing happens, we'll look for another solution." Mom suggested.
Ring ring..ring ring
"Hello?" I answered my phone.
"Alyssa?" The person asked on the other line.
"Victoria?"
"Yes. Has anything happened to you lately?"
"I kinda sprained my ankle, why?" I asked, curious.
"Just wondering."
"What are you not telling me?" I asked carefully.
"Justin's in the hospital."
