"I love you!" She screams in fright but I kept my head down, walking away.

"Lilly please!"

I turn back, tears in my eyes, looking into the ones I fell in love with. Those beautiful brown eyes that always looked at me with love. Ones that would always be hidden at night, when I was there, casting her to sleep. She knew I was there and she loved it. She felt cared for and wanted. Something she wanted all her life. If only I'd have spoken up sooner, I could have had so much more time with her, so many memories to look back on. But I was a coward to speak up for myself, hiding behind Klaus, my very own anti - emotional shield.

I look at her face, trying to engrave every inch of it in my brain, knowing very damn well I might not ever see it again.

I smile at her before saying the words I know would hurt both her and I.
