                       LABYRINTH

It's been quite some time that the two woman have been walking in the woods. Their feet were sore and necks dry from haven't been feeding.

Katerina was still in a mild state from their earlier conversation, as she'd say, they didn't really have a conversation, just another argument on the wide list they have.

Katerina tried to start one, but she failed, having to think about how she would string up a conversation. She didn't even know Elizabeth. What kind of friend is she.

Would she even call herself a friend? They had not known each other for long, but yet she feels so close to Elizabeth, so comfortable and calm around her. Yet at the same time, Elizabeth was distant and melancholy, bringing agonizing pain to Katherine's chest.

Elizabeth never meant to bring Katerina's pain, it was the least of her intentions. She was just scared. Scared of what will happen when Klaus finds them and split up, having the same thing to happen like it did centuries ago.

Elizabeth hardly lived through that. The only way she survived was with her family. The Mikaelsons. Of course they did not know of the intense love she had for Tatia. It was a sin to love another woman. She would have been shunned. But deep down she thought that the Mikaelsons would still have loved her. And by the Mikaelsons she meant the siblings and Esther. Mikael would have a rage thinking of what she would do to his dearest Rebekah.

Elizabeth could only trust one person out of that family, yet at the same time, it brought her sorrow for not telling her best friend about her true self. She told him everything, as did he.

But due to the situation at hand, she was more afraid of her friendship with Niklaus would end.

Elizabeth looks up from her hands, catching Katerina's eye. They both stay locked with each others gaze before the sound of someone clearing their throat breaks them apart.

Turning to the voice, a serious look takes over her face, Katerina taking notice.

"Gerard." The mans eyes widen at the familiar voice and he looks up, not believing his eyes.

"Your majesty." The guard bows his head, getting down on one knee, immediately apologizing for his obscene behavior.

Elizabeth smiles, that familiar tingle coming back to her like a wildfire. "Stand."

The guard rises to his feet, his gaze locked on Elizabeth's, terror in his veins. "Summon Zachariah at once." The guard nods, setting off immediately.

Elizabeth turns to Katerina, a smile on her face as she catches the look on Katerina. Astonishment and wonder.

"Katerina." She calls out, catching the brunettes attention. Katerina smiles at her, a look of pure adoration etched on her face. Elizabeth feels her heart flutter as she takes hold of the woman she has taken so fondly of.

"Welcome to my home, my dear Katerina." She says, feeling Katerina shudder just as the gates open, revealing the towns people with goods and Zachariah, with a smile on his face.

"My queen." He steps forward and bows, not long after every single person starts to get down on their knees, in honor of their queens return.

Standing closer, Katerina leans on Elizabeth's shoulder, making the woman smile.

"Oh it's good to be home"
