LABYRINTH"Good job."
Zachariah groaned, pain in his body every time he made any kind of movement. It's was good, not great. That meant that there was more to come. Elizabeth had been training him for the outside world as a new vampire. Elizabeth had been a great teacher, but very strict. Not quite a difference in her original personality. Zachariah thought she'd be generous just a tiny bit, but she was anything less.
"At least we've found a gift of yours."
Zachariah pushes himself off the ground a bit, holding himself up as he looked up at her.
"And what is it, may I ask?"
Elizabeth chuckled as she cleaned up the mess around her. She had used restraint on him today but Zachariah was a fast learner, the chains were useless.
One would think he'd be secluded from the outside world with being a new vampire. Elizabeth thought that was rubbish. How can one learn to resist if there weren't anything to resist from?
She had not brought him to the core of the village, but a place that had little to no villagers. It was at the ends of the kingdom. Zachariah thought it was a crazy idea, but in the end he was grateful.
"You have patience. It's one of the prominent things you had as a human and that's only heightened now. It could be of great use to you."
Zachariah was about to question her when suddenly, a mass of children stumbled upon them and Zachariah gasped. Veins protruded from beneath his eyes as the children ran and laughed, almost taunting them as their blood flowed through there body.
It wasn't until one of them fell and scraped their knee did he finally react.
"Christ, help me." Elizabeth boomed with laughter causing the children to run the other way, leaving them behind. Elizabeth continued to laugh and she walked towards him, a smile gracing her face at the distraught man.
"It's time to go."
Zachariah eyes were back to normal, saying a silent prayer to himself as he walked off before her, skin glistening in the sunlight.
"I'll get the bags."
As the gates shut behind them, Elizabeth turned to Zachariah in a rush, "We have to hurry."
She took his arm, speeding themselves out of England and towards the docks. They made it there in a matter of minutes. Swarms of people already huddled together to board the ship.
"A ship?"
Turning towards the new vampire, she smiles mockingly. "Be calm, just like we practiced all those times." She squeezes his hand, pulling both their hoods up as they walked through the villagers in a hurry.
She could feel Zachariah latching onto her tightly as they made it up the ship. Standing at the back corner, they pull their hoods down as they stare at the scenery.
"It's beautiful." Zachariah breathes out in awe, a certain happiness in his eyes. He glances down at Elizabeth, a smile gracing her face as she stares at him.
