LABYRINTH"Lady Elizabeth?" She looks up from herself in the mirror to see a servant of hers, Zachariah.
"Yes." She says impatiently, she was just in the midst of thinking about Rebekah, she has not heard from the girl in days. Putting off as much sorrow in her voice as she possibly can, not in a good mood this evening. He puts his head down, swallowing thickly, "You have a guest." He looks up at Elizabeth, beads of sweet forming on his face.
"They say they're your family." Her breathe gets lost, nerves stopping as they are. Her knees go weak and body goes numb. He found her.
Her eyes pierce into Zachariah's, teeth chattering. "How many?"
His eyes widen, before stuttering, "Two m' lady."
She bites her lip in fear. How can they had found he. None of the villagers have left to seek another. It would have gotten through her. Nicholas would neve-
"Nicholas." She whispers in fear, voice trembling. Standing up, she runs past Zachariah, to the hall where she last left him. Turning down the corner, slamming into the walls, not stopping.
As she sees the opening, she runs as fast as she can. Making it through she sees him slash Nicholas' throat open. "No!" falling to her knees, screaming. "Nicholas!"
Elizabeth pulls him into her arms, holding his face. "No. No, no, no. Nicholas." She cries out, brushing her fingers through his hair. He looks at the love of his life in the eyes as he takes his last breathe. She wails out in horror and thrash as she feels herself being pulled away from Nicholas.
Screaming in agony, trying to push the person away but they keep a tight hold. She looks up to see the man she missed most dire. The man stares at her in sympathy, pulling her in close as she lets tears fall.
"Oh Queen Elizabeth. How much of a horrible mess you have here." He says sarcasticly, fueling the girls anger.
Breaking out of his hold, she stands. Walking forward, face red. "How could you!" She yell.
His face twists in anger before screaming, "How could I? How could you!? I give you freedom to explore and you betray me to be with this wolf!" He gets in her face and grabs her by the throat but Elizabeth takes his arm and twist it back.
"Elizabeth!" Ignoring him, leaning down and bending his arm. He screams in agony making the girl smile in satisfaction.
"Forgive me." She whispers after doing so. Walking in front of him, kneeling down. He stared at her, eyes blazing. "Are you done?" She questions in taunt as he bites his tongue in pain.
"Elizabeth!" She smirks, speeding in fixing his arm, stepping back when he stands up.
She stares at him not only in hatred, but in despair. The poor girl has known him for a very long time. And no matter the number of times she's seen him slaughter innocent people, and cause havoc, she seem to always care for him. And feel guilt when caused harm to him, even though he deserves it. Because no matter how hard she tries to get rid of him, he always be her best friend. Always and forever. She sighs.
"Niklaus.." she says guiltily. He tries to hide his smirk, but eventually it comes out and she scoffs in disbelief. "Forget it. I'll be going then." She turns around swiftly only to see him. "Oh Liza. You're never leaving my side again."
Elizabeth smiles, hearing him call her by her nickname he had given to her when they we're little. Looking over to Elijah, catching him as he stares at them in confusion. "He has killed your beloved yet you still forgive him." When he says those words, Elizabeth's heart aches in pain.
Looking over to where Nicholas' body lays, she sighs sadly. She had to have saw this coming. Did she really think he, Niklaus Mikaelson, could not be keeping track of her? She wished this upon herself, she should have known the consequences. And she has, and there for she shall not be making the same mistake again.
"Burn the body, we shall leave after. I have business to tend to."
Moving past Niklaus and towards the entrance of the castle, she lets the tears fall, opening the doors to walk to the village square. With Elijahs words echoing through her mind, she glances around, trying to catch sight of the person she was looking for.
Seeing him by the bakery stand, she calls for him. "Zachariah." Her voice booms through the crispy air. Zachariahs head snaps towards her in fear immediately being seen in his eyes. Zachariah looks at his queen, trying to think back on what he had done wrong. If he had done anything wrong but he doesn't find a memory. He looks from left to right, seeing everyone staring at him in sympathy. "Come forth."
He stares in fright, stepping beside me as she grab hold of his arm, stiffening.
"As you all must not know, me and the king are leaving for some time." She pauses, her lip quivering slightly, "And for these long durations of time, I, Elizabeth Nokwell, declare you," turning to Zachariah with a malice smile, "Zachariah Stevens, the new found king."
Applauds and shouts erupt erupt as Zachariah stands still, shocked. "My Queen-" cutting his sentence short, she kisses his cheek before walking away. For the time she has been queen, he was always very loyal and generous to others.
"My Queen!" Turning back to him hearing fear in his voice. He stares at her before breaking out into a run. She smiles at him as he stands before her. "I have no words. I-I do not think I am fit to be ruler-"
"Zachariah. You have true meanings. And I am one to determine to see fit that you will be a King. I hope you seek peace and harmony in your intentions. I shall be checking upon you soon." He nods at her, it still not settling into his mind thst as of this very moment, he is King. He thinks back to his mother, remembering how loyal and genuine her feelings were to the woman standing before him. He sees her take the royal crown from her silk dress and place it on his hands. Giving him a bow, she turns away from him.
She smiles, walking towards the woods.
"Elizabeth." She heard him before he called her name. She ignores him, continuing to walk away. Away from this place that's left with misery and pain filled memories. Her hands clench in despair, heart aching in sadness. When she feels him next to her, she reaches out and grab hold of his arm, letting the tears fall, not holding back.
"We shall go my love. Niklaus is waiting." She nods her head.
"We shall go."
