                    LABYRINTH

You were quite happy with your life. You were one of the most powerful people in all of England. Married into the royal family. You were basically an heir. People were worshipping you at your altar and you loved ever second of it. The feeling of power satisfied you. It gave you hope that one day, you'll have everyone crying for mercy.

And that day came too quickly.

"Please, please spare me. I did not know. I did not know!" Screams were heard coming from the royal castle, itching up your spine at the cries. Them asking for mercy always put a smile on your face. The screams were heading close to the village. As it did, the villagers didn't move a muscle. They just stood and watched, not wanting to experience the queens wrath. They feared her like no other, from the stories she told to the hanging she gave. She was in fact their ruler.

"Help! Somebody help!"
Parents sent their children inside their homes, not wanting to see what was in store for the woman they saw being dragged by the soldiers. In their eyes, the queen was a good lady. She spoke nothing but honesty. But no one disrespected her. Not even the king. So surely she must have done something wrong.

"No! No please. I beg for mercy. Mercy!" The men stopped when they saw that the carriage door opened. They stood tall and waited for the queen to close the door to her carriage. No one could see her face. Her long black hair cascaded down her back, flowing smoothly on her lavender dress.

When she turns swiftly, every head bows in honor, before taking a step back. And oh, will she never get tired of that.

She steps towards the wounded girl on floor, and looks at her with disgust. Never before has she been more revolted by the sight.

"This woman here." She speaks up, her voice strong and confident. Ears perked up, their attention on her. Men, including women, stiffened at her voice, so smooth and soft. If you were new to the village, immediately you'd think she was just another shy maiden, but boy oh boy, she was so much more.

"Took it upon herself, to come into our kingdom and speak of such evils name." Her eyes pierced dangerously into the woman's eyes, not taking lightly to her words. She loved her people. There for she will always protect her people.

"She speaks of vampires!"

Gasps we heard all over the square and that egged her on. "She speaks of such evil in front of me and the king and says we should quiver in fear."

Only then the king appears, standing with the villagers. Looking at her now, he remembers why he married her. Her confidence, strong demeanor, her honesty, and how much she cares for this village.

With that it takes him back to when they first met. He was at a fellows manor. He was talking to one of them when he caught site of the maiden  in front of him. He could smell the power she oh so wanted to feel, she needed and right away he wanted her. He though she were one of the most beautiful things he's ever seen.

And the maiden could have thought the same thing if it wasn't for his stench of werewolf.

Thats why he was talking to a fellow of hers. To see if he could pass through their land in hopes to find shelter for his family. Some of them did. Luckily for him, she thought he was quite handsome after some time so there was help.

It was forbidden to love a werewolf. For her mostly. He would have had the maidens head. But surely that didn't stop either of them. He gave the maiden his trust to have a go out and explore the world and she did. With Nicholas.

Then on she found him and his family. Living in royalty. And she had never ran so fast in her life to be in his arms again.

Although the maiden loved them, she needed to be with Nicholas.

The woman screams in agony, catching his attention. He sees his beloved holding her by the throat. In shock, he walks to her, the villagers staring at him in fear.

"My love." He calls, holding his hand out to her. "We shall question her first. Don't you think not?" He quivers at her piercing stare. His heart beating fast, making her face go soft.

In her mind, she's scolding herself. Reminding herself that she is not one to go soft at the mans word. She was taught better than that. In the eyes if her friends, they'd see a whole other person. She is known to be the fierce one. The one who stands on her own and can take care of herself. She is strong.

But she loves Nicholas, as he did her. It was only fair. "I guess we shall."

The woman is picked up and dragged back to the castle.

With her head held high, she starts walking to the castle. "Oh my sweet maiden, you are saved today."
