Max has been sitting in the room for the last 25 minutes, listening to the rules and regulations of the so called Mansion and of course the mechanics of the show. The rules, Max realized, were somehow different from any dating shows she has watched:

It was the ladies that has to do all the work to swipe Prince Charming off his feet. Mr. Richfield showed all possible places, settings, events that they can choose every week. When they get to their chosen "date", then could try smitten Prince Charming.

"You'll stay here for 10 weeks..."Mr. Richfields was speaking with his hands behind him. 10 weeks, 10 ladies. There's one that gets eliminated  every week then. Same mechanics. Max thought.

But overall, it was a game with only one goal: Make him choose you. "Choose" was what Max thought, love was not a requirement in the game. Choose was just merely sugar coated.

"So, any questions?" Mr. Richfields, the producer of the show, finally finished speaking.

One ginger haired lady with really small waists raised her hand. Mr. Richfields, allowed her to speak.

"When will we see Ian?" she said with a voice of a mice.

"Everything shall start tomorrow. The tapings for your opening remarks, the intros, the interviews and of course, meeting bachelor: Ian Montgomery."

All the ladies began to get excited, eyes gleaming, clapping and squealing. It was only Max that didn't seem to respond. She looked at everybody, clueless who the hell is Ian Montgomery.

"Ladies, get some rest because you got a big day ahead of you." those were Mr. Richfields last words before he left the room.

The crew began instructing the ladies to their rooms. They all went to the second floor where there was a white hallway with plenty of doors. As they were instructed, two ladies should be in each room.

Max was the last one to get inside her room at she was at the end of the hall. She step inside the room-there was still a level of elegance and wealth. The room was spacious with white walls, flooring were in walnut. The ceiling was a bit high designed with a cove lighting with a crystal chandelier.  A double bed with thick cotton sheets were placed at the center of the room with a light brown carpet below.

"Your closet would be at that side." The crew pointed a door at the left side of the bed. "And that door, would be towards the balcony." pointing the door at the right side.

"Oh. Thank you." Max said, before the crew left. She look around the room and sat on the bed, jumping and was delighted at the soft mattresses. She then lied down and felt the silk of the of covers with her arms, waving.

"Hi." A soft voice made Max sit up.

"Uh-hi. You must be my roommate?" Max asked, now standing up.

"I guess so. I'm Cassidy. Casey for a shorter version." the short-haired blonde approached Max and extended her hands. Max gradually shakes her hands and could feel the softness of her pristine skin.

"I'm Maxine.  But, people just call me Max." Max said, letting go of her hand.

"You're the Bronx-Max." Casey smiled.

"Uhh...do I have a tag on my forehead that really says:Bronx-Max?" Max asked, wondering did she look obvious she was from Bronx, New York?

Casey laughed. Her doll blue eyes sparkled and an dazzle of innocence radiated along with her. Max didn't feel it was a fake smile but rather, she felt a warmth in them that she herself smiled too.

"Oh no. Wow. You really are pretty." Casey approached her and sat beside her, took a good look at her.

"Th-thanks. So, are you."

Casey shrugged her shoulders and smiled. She knew she was pretty.

"How do you know I'm from Bronx?" Max asked.

"You're just one of the three ladies here that aren't from the-well-chosen through letters and videos.

"Ahh. You didn't?"

"Nope. I was invited by the show. Ian and I were childhood friends."

"Really?"

"Yeah. The other 7 girls also have some connections to Ian too, you know. Come, I'll show you-oh, wait. You have to unpack." Casey stopped herself when she saw Max's small luggage beside her.

"Oh, it can wait. It's not like I've got many clothes though. What about you?"

"My maids are just going to come and arrange them for me before the crew would prohibit anymore people coming. Let's go?" Casey smiled and extended her hand again.

"Y-yeah. Yeah." Max said, dumbfounded. She's obviously a Beverly Hills lady. This may not seem as easy as what I thought would be then, Max has decided. Both of them walked out as Casey begin to introduce the other ladies inside the Mansion.
