Chapter 44: Believe Me

"Babe, come on! I'm so hungry!" I groaned, waiting for Bella to finish getting ready. It was the day of the baby scan and I was so excited but it wasn't until 2PM so we were going shopping for our vacation in Fiji tomorrow.

"Stop moaning Jay, we'll get to iHop in 10 minutes. I just needed to cool myself down. I'm literally so hot right now." e came out fanning herself.

"That's because its summer. Though, I can see a little baby bump." I cooed, walking over to her and placing my hands on her stomach. Our baby.

"Don't! Do you know how hard it was to keep that from Sav and your mom the other day! I thought at one point she knew!" Bella exasperated as she put her little bag over her shoulder and began to walk towards the door.

"Woah! Where do you think you're going?" I pulled her back gently, making her fall into my chest slightly.

"You were the one rushing me!" She pouted, looking up at me.

"Well, you forgot!" I tsked her before pouting my lips. She giggled and shook her head before kissing my lips deeply and threading her hands through my hair. I wrapped my arms around her waist and gladly let her tongue into my mouth, letting her think she'd won the battle though right before I could even compete she pulled away and laughed.

"Come on or we'll never get out of this suffocating apartment! It's so hot in here!" She exaggerated before walking out the door. I followed her quickly and locked up before meeting her in the lift.

"You sure you wanna go shopping before?" I asked her, wanting her to be comfortable today. We'd been to the doctor about her wound and it had healed amazingly. Sure there was scarring but it was better then anything else.

"Yes! I just need to get some fresh air because I am literally boiling!" She explained, taking off her thin throw.

"It could be because of your change in hormone levels but these hot flashes usually start between the second and third trimester and even after you've given birth. You are -- "

"Coming to the end of my first trimester. I know, we read the books together baby." She giggled, playing with the ends of my hair. I took her hand out and kissed her knuckles before walking out of the lift and towards the door to the car park.

"Justin." I turned around and Bella was off, running towards the gym?

I followed her quickly and watched ahead as she ran into the girls bathroom. Oh. It's either morning sickness or she needed to pee. There was a lot of stuff to get used to in the first trimester. Not to mention all the nutrients we got and then the piles of baby books stored in our room. We want to be prepared...

"Bella?" I knocked on the door but it was swung back open by my baby herself, popping some gum into her mouth. Morning sickness.

"We all good?" I asked, she nodded before leading the way towards the car park.

"Do you think your mom knew?" She then asked, turning to me slightly as we walked over to my car.

"No she can't have. We sat down for a family dinner! Plus, she's too engrossed about Annie's pregnancy at the moment. She's due soon isn't she." I remembered, opening Bella's door before jogging over to mine and hopping in.

"Yeah, September 10th. Just over a month away." Bella added, strapping herself in.

"Ryan is going to be so scared. But he'll be great, he'll just need to get used to everything." I began to reverse out of the car park and then onto the main road, driving towards the mall.
