Justin
"Hey mom, you ok?" I asked, sitting down on her bed. My dad was in New York at the moment, trying to set up a Lotus firm there, so it was just my mom, Jaz, Jax, me, Bella and the dogs here.
"I'm fine sweetie, where's Bella?" She asked, placing her magazine down and lying on her side to face me.
"She's taking a shower before going to Annie's baby shower/birthday party, aren't you going?" I laid down next to her, after kicking off my shoes.
"I am but all I have to do is apply my makeup which won't take me long, I have an hour at least," She smiled, stroking back my hair.
"Ma, stop touching my hair and, you don't need makeup. I don't know how many times I need to tell you girls that," I sighed, but tried to fix my hair.
"Sweetie, wearing makeup is like you with your hair, we wouldn't feel right not wearing it," She giggled, tapping my nose. She always made me feel like a kid again.
"You still don't need it," I muttered, putting my hands behind my head.
"Look at you, you're such a grown man now. And moving out! My babies are growing up," She pouted leading me to chuckle.
"Ma, you still have Jaz and Jax," I reminded her.
"Yeah but Jazzy is growing up so fast and Jax is going to be 9 this year! 9!" My mom exclaimed. They were really growing up fast. It felt like only yesterday when we brought Jaz home from the hospital.
"Don't worry, Ryan's like another child to you so you'll be seeing the baby often," I reminded her.
"But Ryan isn't my actual son. I treat him like one sure but, I want my own grand babies Justin! And plus, I'm getting old!" My mom sat up, hitting my leg gently.
"Well, I think Jason and Sav might be closer to that request then you think," I snickered.
"What about you Justin? I know Bella is the one for you! I need babies in my life," She huffed standing up and straightening out the bed.
"Ma, babies aren't in my life plan just yet," I sighed. I wanted kids, yes. But, I was too young. I needed to grow as a man before even thinking about kids. I wanted a handful but, not just yet.
"Why not! You'd be the perfect daddy!" My mom encouraged making me laugh.
"Aren't you supposed to be telling me to stick with protection?" I questioned.
"Justin, you're 24 with an amazing girlfriend and a perfect job. I don't want to push you or anything but... Life is short. I mean, look at me, it feels like yesterday when I was telling my parents that I was pregnant with you and Jason," My mom sadly sighed. I stood up and went over to her, enveloping her in a hug.
"Ma, I want kids, you know that but... I need time. Time to grow and mature into a proper man. Right now, I want to live life with Bella, as just us. Once I propose and we're properly settled down, that's when I'll want kids. And I'll be wanting a lot," I explained, kissing her head. I loved my mom dearly but... This was my decision and I couldn't rush into anything.
"You have grown into such an amazing man," My mom sighed happily hugging me just the same.
Bella
"Do you think she'll like it?" I asked as I placed the last box of cupcakes on the table. It was May 4th and finally Annie's birthday and baby shower! Pattie and I had been organizing it together and the day was finally here.
"I think she'll love it," I spun around quickly seeing Sav standing there with her smirk.
"Oh my gosh you made it!" I exasperated as I ran into her arms, giving her a huge hug. She's been in New York for too long!
