Chapter 26: Work

"Have a good day in school, and Jax, no more asking girls on dates. You have to be at least 13 for that," I advised Jax as I parked the car outside their school.

"I can't help it if ladies love me," He held his hands up in surrender making me laugh.

"Quite the charmer, eh? You obviously learned from the best," I reached my hand back for a high five.

"Ok, enough boy talk! Who is picking us up after school?" Jazzy asked as she then unbuckled her seat belt and began to pick up her school bag and lunch box.

"Mom should be as I'm with Bella," I explained as I then hopped out of my dad's car and opened the back doors. My car was being checked over by a car workshop since I knew how scared Bella was three days ago when we came home from the hospital, I wanted her to feel safe with me at all times. And plus, I couldn't take my siblings to school in my car seeing as it only fit two people.

"Oh! Are you going on a date with her? Where are you taking her? Are you going to kiss her? Can she come back to the house? Can she bring Mane?" Jazzy went off at a 100mph saying everything and anything that came to mind about the situation.

"Calm down Jazz. I have training tonight but yes, I am taking her out, after her meeting at the apartment building and we kiss all the time. She can't come back tonight but I'll ask about Friday and, Mane has been in the house for 4 months, Bella wants to keep him. He is her puppy but I'm sure she wouldn't mind going on walks with you guys and Niko," I smiled to them as I took both their hands before crossing the street towards their school.

"Ok, bye Justin!" They waved goodbye to me as they now ran towards their friends.

"Have a good day and don't get into trouble Jax," I called back, earning a few glances at other parents. I gave them all a tight lipped smile before jogging back over to my car.

It had only been 3 days since Bella had been out of the hospital and things were almost back to normal. Mane was now living with Bella in her mom's house and she was almost back to work. She had yet to visit her shop but that's what we were going to do today.

I had planned that I drop Jaz and Jax off at school, so I had a car, then drive to Bella's and pick her and Mane up so we could have a day out together. Although, she had a meeting with the apartment company and insisted she needed to work, I told her she couldn't over work and that she needed to take a break. So, I was going to take her out for a late lunch because the meeting was at 11AM and I had training tonight so it couldn't be a dinner date.

As I pulled up into her mom's drive, I could just about make out a figure moving around in the kitchen, hopefully it was Bella seeing as it was already 9:30 now. I stepped out of the car and welcomed the canadian air. It wasn't cold but it wasn't hot either, just in the middle.

I walked up the small path and knocked on the door. I could hear Mane's feet pattering against the floor and heels clicking too. I took a step back and was slightly let down when Sarah opened the door.

"Oh Justin, you're a little early. I didn't think I would be in to see you this morning," She smiled and pulled me into a hug before stepping aside and letting me in.

"I dropped off Jaz and Jax and thought I'd come straight here, I hope that's ok," I said politely, following her into the kitchen.

"Don't be silly, of course it's fine. I've just had a busy day," She breathed out as she then turned on the kettle.

"But it's only 9:30 in the morning," I chuckled lightly as she pushed her blonde hair back behind her ears.

"Oh no, my day started at 4 this morning! Alex had a different flight to New York so I pulled the short straw in having to drop him off. Although, Will is off taking Marcus, Alexa and the kids to the airport. Then I have a meeting with my boss at 10 and then another at 1 and," She took a deep breath and exhaled loudly.
