Justin
"Bells, someone's at the door." I called through the bathroom and into our closet as I was using the toilet. I was nervous and slightly sweaty for tonight. We'd been running round like headless chickens to make sure everything was perfect.
"I'm going i'm going." She called back seconds later. I flushed and washed my hands before splashing some cool water on my face to calm me down. We were both so stressed with work, the court case, the baby and now tonight so a well needed stress free day was at the top of my list after tonight.
I tied my hair up in a bun and rolled my sleeves of the dress shirt i was wearing up, feeling too hot to put a jacket on top. I then walked out into the main area and saw Bella holding Penelope and gently rocking her.
"Hiya guys, i'm glad you could make it." I smiled, kissing Annie on the cheek and going in for a 'man hug' with Ryan.
"No thank you for inviting us out. We needed to get out of that apartment." Ryan yawned going straight over to the food.
"How has she been, she's still so small." I smiled, going behind Bella and looking down at little Penelope. She really was a sweet baby.
"Crying a lot, we haven't had that much sleep with work now starting back up but, I wouldn't change it for the world." Annie smiled adoringly before grabbing something out of the bottom of the stroller.
"Do you mind if we heat up some milk? She'll be waking up soon." Annie asked as she went over to the kitchen.
"Absolutely, thats fine! Do you want me to put the stroller in one of the spare rooms. It'll be a lot quieter down there?" I asked letting Bella sit down with the baby. It was a site I couldn't wait to get used to.
"Sure, Ry go with him and set up the monitor." Annie instructed whilst going back over to Bella. Ryan nodded whilst picking up another bite of food and following me down the hall.
"So how is it?" I asked as we entered the room, placing the stroller to the side.
"Justin, its a new found love you never knew you had. Even though she cries at 4AM and wakes us up at 6AM and barely stops crying ever, you just don't care because she is the most beautiful thing I've ever laid eyes on. You want to make sure they're ok and that she's only crying for a bottle or a change and you're so careful with her. I've never lived in such a tidy apartment. But Justin, man you can't explain the love you feel with your woman afterwards. Annie has been amazing through it all. I can't even explain what it feels like to see her holding our daughter. Damn man, Marcus was so right. I mean, its nice to get out of the apartment and see everyone and show her off but, the time i get to spend with my family at home is something i'll treasure forever." He let out, smiling adoringly at the stroller.
"I'm so happy for you man. I really am and she really is a gorgeous baby." I patted his back, smiling so wide for him. We've been friends since we were kids and I was so happy to see him happy.
"So why the sudden call for a apartment warming party?" Ryan asked, placing a monitor on the side and setting up a weird triangle thing.
"Well we wanted to just get everyone round for a nice evening plus, not many people have seen the balcony yet. Bella really has done a lot this year despite the accident." I covered up, listening to Bella's rule. She'd be so angry if I let the surprise slip.
"Fair enough, its all set up now. All we need to do now is wait for her to be asleep before we put her in there." Ryan smiled and walked out with me right behind him.
As we entered the main hall, a lot more people had arrived including my parents and Jaz and Jax.
"Justin!" My mom beamed, coming over and engulfing me in a large hug. "Hey mom." I smiled and hugged her tight. I couldn't wait to tell her the surprise.
