Zania:
"Baby doll wake up." I hear my name being cooed.

I slowly pealed my eyes open a little and looked up at my mom smiling down at me. To say I missed her was a understatement. Just seeing her face now just made my day.

"Mommy I missed you. I say leaning up to hug her slim waist. "Your home early though."

"I know, I wanted to see you before you went to school." She say running her hand over my wild morning hair.

Instant joy filled my heart just having my parents back under the same roof as me. No matter how many times they get on my nerves I always miss them when they leave. But my joy quickly turned to fear when I heard my shower water stop running and Ian walked out with just his towel on.

"Babe you seen my duffle bag?" He says before stopping dead in his tracks.

"Who is this Zania?" My mom says looking at me like I grew two heads.

"Oh umm..its good to see you again Mrs. Ford. I don't know if you remember me but I'm-"

"I know who you are. So it seems you and my daughter are very close now huh?" She says with a sly smile as Ian stood there in a nervous wreck.

"Oh umm..yeah we are. We're dating." He says looking over at me.

"Is that so?" She says turning to look at me. "Well Ian as you know Zania is our only daughter so you have to ask her father's permission for you to court her. Do you understand?"

"Yes ma'ma."

"Alright, well I'm glad you know. Now hurry and get dressed so I can get you out of here before my husband see you and kill you."

"Yes ma'ma. I'll be done in a few minutes."

My mom gave me a weird look before walking out my room and closing my door.

"Yo why you didn't tell me ya folks was coming back this early?" Ian says in a hush voice while pulling on his pants.

"I didn't know they were coming back this early. I'm surprised she didn't bug out on you." I laugh.

"Shit me to. But let me get out of here, I have to pick Marli up from my aunt house and take her to school."

"Alright, get there safe. Kiss her for me."

"Ard, give me a kiss." He says pulling the front of my shirt as our faces moved towards each other and our lips crashed together.

"Ok that's enough. You better stop before my pops come in here." I tease getting up from the bed.

He grabbed all his things and we quietly walked down the stairwell to the front door. I could hear my dad listening to his music in his office so I knew we wouldn't get caught."

"Let me know when you get to the school." He says kissing my forehead.

"I will now get out of here." I say pushing him towards the door.

I watched him unlock his car before throwing his bag in the back before he hopped in and drove down the driveway to the gate to get out.

"You're not slick little girl." I hear before I turn around to see my mom.

"Huh?

"Dont huh me. So you feel like it's ok to have boys in the house unsupervised?"

"Maaaa" I whine as I walked into the kitchen. "Why you buggin?" I say taking down a box of cereal from the cabinet.

"I'm not buggin, but you know better. Now look if your dating that's fine but he needs to sit down with your father and me and ask the right way."
