A thread of love holds us together,
You're our foundation on rocky grounds and
At times it might tremble but it NEVER breaks.
Your hugs and smiles gets me through the toughest times and I love how your tough love eventually becomes what's best for us all.
Cooking the best meals and making us laugh
I'll never forget theses special memories.
In all honesty your the best thing to ever happen to me. Supporting and loving me and letting me know
You have my back is the best feeling I could ask for.
Thank you for molding me, exposing me, and controlling me in all the ways a young man is suppose to grow up. You did ya thing and I'm forever grateful. You look after me and I look after you. My love, my life, my LOVE LOST.
Ian P.O.V.
I hear the loud buzz and see the crowd stand up in joyful cheers but everything seemed to be in slow motion for me. As if my eyes were moving in slow motion they landed on the score board which read HOME: 35 GUEST: 20. I felt everybody run up to me as I stood in the middle of the field still not believing that we actually pulled this game off. Even after the crowd slowly died out and I was stopped by a reporter before making it into the locker room I still felt numb.
"I have here standing beside me Ian Davis, a senior here at Townsend Harris High and also the Star quarterback of their outstanding football team the Hawks. Tonight we've witnessed nothing but greatness and I'm sure you can agree with me. How are you feeling about winning your first season game which so happens to also be your homecoming game?"
"I'm very happy that the team took the win on this game. We've worked hard and we told each other we would start the season off right and that's what we did."
"You sure did. So tell me what did you guys do different tonight then any other game."
"Well tonight we used some of our freshman's that's on the team and we also changed up the plays a bit. Basically using everything we had to our advantage." I explain wiping my forehead with my towel.
"It surely worked out in you guys favor. You looked focused and flawless tonight. What have you done to prepare for this day?"
"Well basically trained and practiced as much as I could. I also have to acknowledge my team, without them I'm nothing. We've all equally worked hard to make sure we got to this point and honestly I'm still numb to the fact."
"Well don't be, you all did amazing. I look forward to seeing you guys play the rest of the season."
"Thank you sir."
I was walked to the locker room with my coach behind me as people still cheered. A part of me wanted to celebrate with my team but something just didn't feel right and I didn't know why. Zania, Marli, and the crew was in the stands cheering for me and Messiah and my parents even showed up for a bit. I just couldn't shake the weird feeling.
"Wassup with you man, ain't you happy we won?" Keem asked me as he sat next to me taking off his jersey.
I looked at him and nodded. "Yeah I'm happy, I was gone beat y'all ass if we lost to that weak ass school."
We shared a laugh and held a small conversation as we both undressed to hit the showers. Keem tried his best to distract me but I still couldn't shake this feeling.
"Well we all going out to celebrate later. I think you need to bring yo depressed ass with us and bring that fine ass girlfriend of yours and get out this mood."
