"It won't happen again babe, I promise." I reached over trying to kiss Zania but she wasn't to pleased with me.
"It doesn't matter." She shrugs dismissing the conversation while looking out the passenger seat window.
"I know when you mad Z." I placed my right hand on her thigh while using my left to drive.
"What can I do about it? Either way your gonna help her." She smacked my hand off her making me quickly cut my eyes over at her.
I caught the eye roll she did and I knew she wasn't happy about what Shay had to say last night. It caught me by surprise too and I never expected her to just show up asking me for help.
******* "So what do you need?" Zania asks standing bedside Ian.
"I was hoping to speak to Ian alone." Shay reply's gaining a laugh from Zania.
"That's not a option." Zania stubbornly sat down on the couch crossing her arms.
"Such a bitch." Shay mumbled as she rolled her eyes making Zania raise up but Ian gripped her waist tightly.
"What was said? Can you speak a little louder?" Zania says over Ian's shoulder since he stepped between the two trying to keep them far away from each other.
"Look, I didn't come here to argue with you. I came here to talk to MY best friend because I need help."
"Then speak."
Ian gave Zania a look trying to get her to cut the attitude she had but she only looked away. He still didn't know why they had so much animosity towards each other but it was pissing him off.
"Wassup Shay, What you need my help with?" Ian sat on the arm of the couch giving her his full attention.
"I messed up and got caught up with the wrong person and now I owe them money."
Zania smacked her teeth but the look Ian gave her made her quiet down long enough for him to really process what Shay was asking him.
"So you asking me for bread because you owe some nigga?"
Shay was embarrassed to even look him in the eyes and it didn't help that Zania was shooting her nasty looks. She was desperate and didn't know who else to go to for help and because her and Ian do have such a strong history she knew he would be most willing to help out.
"I don't know who else to go to. If Zack finds out he'll just spazz out on me. I know I'm asking for a lot but you always told me to come to you when I needed you and so I'm here." She wiped a stray tear that fell still looking down at her feet.
