Give me you, everything else can wait.
Just give me you, I hope I'm not to late.
Give me your smile I long for when my sky's are grey
Or when I'm vulnerable, and just need some space.
I'm ready, for you and me to become more than we could ever be.
But I need you to be humble enough to come to me. Come to me when you need me to hold you, and when your not feeling the best, and I promise to always be there.
I know dudes favorite lines are "I'm different, and I'm not like the rest" but honestly baby girl I'm really not. I want to learn and love your mind before I can love your body. I want to know what makes you happy and sad and what I can do to be the best I can be.
You give me chills that I can't even explain, that smile of yours is priceless, your body does things to me that is rude enough to even think of. But most of all those eyes, baby those grey eyes makes me feel loved when you look at me. Im glad your mine and I just know it's meant to be.

"You writing a new poem?" I hear a female voice ask as it startled me and made me drop my journal.
I was in the workout room at school by myself making sure I got caught up on my workouts. Practice was over an hour ago but I decided to stay because this is the only place I would rather be right now.
"Why you sneaking up on me?" I ask Shay who entered the room and sat across from me on the bench press table.
She laughed and shrugged. "I'm sorry, I thought everybody was gone. I was about to lock the doors up for tonight."
"Oh that's cool, I should be going anyways." I say grabbing my duffle bag and stuffing my sweaty shirt and football inside.
"No it's okay." She says grabbing my arm to stop me. "We can chill here for a minute, I feel like we haven't talked in forever man."
"Yeah I know but I just been busy with school and practice. You know how that goes. But congrats on getting the sports manger job. That's dope." I say making her smile.
"Thank you, I thought I wasn't going to get it but some how I did."
I smacked my lips. "Yo, I told you I was gone put in a good word for you. You the homie, you already knew I was gone get you in."
She looked down at her hands and then back up at me. "Yeah I know, and thank you for that. It means a lot." She says reaching over and embracing me.
"Aye what you doing?" I say reaching for my journal in which she snatched from out my hand.
"Just let me read some." She says pushing my arm away.
"Nah you know I'm sensitive about my shit." I laugh, still reaching for it.
She smacked my hand down then sat on top of my journal and crossed her arms. "Well at least let me read the one you wrote about me."
"But that one old as hell. I'll write you a new one."
"You serious. Don't be lying Ian."
"I'm not, I'll write you a new one just give me my shit back." I say finally snatching it from up under her.
"What will it say?" She asks
"I don't know yet. I guess describing our friendship." I shrug as I placed my journal in my bag and zipped it up.
"What friendship, I feel like we're strangers now. We use to talk and hang out everyday and now I only see you at practice or at the shop."
I breathed out a frustrated breath. "I get where you coming from but I just got a lot of shit I'm trying to handle. And school and football and working are my main priorities. You know that Shay."
