Easter break was over and the school semester was back in full effect. Lucky for Ian he was a senior this year and this would be his last semester before graduation. With Ian's nana being sick it really took the excitement out of all the seniors events that were going on around him and things began to become routine. School, practice, and work is what everyday consisted of for him. Even though the crew has been reaching out to him offering him support, it still hasn't helped the depressed feelings Ian has been feeling.

"I don't know if I should kick you out or let you stay."

"You know better then that."

Of course, Ian was in the weight room where he usually goes during his lunch. Shay was still the football manager and so she spent most of her time around the gym helping out when she isn't in class so when she saw Ian she stopped to speak.

"Isn't this your lunch period?"

"Not really feeling lunch today."

"You don't seem to be feeling a lot of things these days.
Ian cut his eye over at her before continuing to run on the treadmill. Shirtless with just his headphones around his neck, sweat dropped off his tattooed skin as his muscles flexed with every stride he took.

"If you came to distract me, you can leave." He bluntly stated.

A quick eye roll was how Shay responded before she walked up and turned off the treadmill. "I'll stay, let's talk. "

Walking over to the nearest bench she sat down and patted the space next to her.

"Are you serious?" Ian blankly stared at her after getting off the treadmill and wiping his face with his towel.

"Dead serious."

With a loud sigh Ian leaned up against the treadmill and crossed his arms. "So wassup?"

"You not about to sit down?"

"No."

"Ok....well how are you?"

"Shay."

"What? I'm just trying to see if you're good. You don't have to be rude."

"I'm not. I just know you. So just say what you really want."

Shay grew quiet as she looked at everything else in the room. Ian turns to pack up his bag due to the lunch bell about to ring in the next 30 minutes and he still needed to shower.

"Umm..well I really wanted to know how you and Zania were doing?"

"Why does that matter?"

"It doesn't...I mean it does because y'all together and what not but I was only asking because prom is coming up and everybody saying how me and you might get prom king and queen and...."

Smiling in disbelief, Ian cut her off. "So you came in here not to see how I'm doing but to talk about prom?"

A uneasy expression washed over Shay face and she knew she had offended Ian. "I didn't mean it like that..I just wanted to know because we would need to plan in advance...."
