Do you know how hard it is to peel no less than twenty island-crazed women off a door and then wrangled them back to their respective offices to get their work done?

No?  Good.  I wouldn't wish the experience upon my worst enemy.  It's a harrowing experience, especially when most of the women wear perfume that just isn't right for them.

Kaim did most of the grunt work, but I suspect that's because most of my fellow co-workers didn't mind such a handsome man "handling" them.  As much as it annoyed me watching the antics unfold, especially since a few girls had a little trouble "releasing" themselves from his grip.

Kaim is not the only man who works in this place.  I'm sure there are other men here who could be considered attractive.  Melissa went after them after all.  Is he really that handsome?

Yes.  Yes he is.  And for all my self-control, he's mine and no one elses.  And he's okay with that.

Once the ladies settled down, Ms. Bradley was able to make her way out the office, a little shaken but ready to make the announcement.  Kaim and I stood beside her, arms crossed like bouncers at the club.  We'd proven that we could handle the ladies if went out control.  Now that she had back-up, my boss was much more confident in rendering her decision.

"As you all know, a colleague of mine has asked if I could send someone down to do a review on the Desiderata Luxury Resort on Phuket Island in beautiful Thailand," she began with a shaky voice.  All eyes were on her, hungry and excited, and that would make anyone nervous.  "I thought this place might be a bit out of the way in terms of our demographic, but regardless, I've decided to take him up on his offer and his hospitality."

"You've made the right choice, Ms. Bradley," Melissa cooed in that fake Southern drawl.  Will someone please tell her that's not cute?  Ah well, she's about to be thrown off her high horse in a minute.  "I'm sure there are many people who view our site that would be interested in visiting such a magical place for their honeymoon.  Why, some people simple go to city hall to get married and then splurge on the honeymoon."

"How very perceptive of you, Ms. Archer.  In fact that's exactly I decided to make this a special assignment for the company."  Melissa looked like she swallowed ten proverbial canaries.  Oh, I was going to enjoy this fall.  "Destination weddings are very popular and more couples decide to save money on the wedding and spend more on their honeymoon, going to a place they wouldn't otherwise be able to go to.  So, to review a place like would be keeping in with the times."

"It definitely would be, Ms. Bradley."  On cue, just about everyone rolled their eyes, annoyed by Melissa's bootlicking.  "Which is why I know you would take so much care into sending the right person to review the site."

Ms. Bradley raised an eyebrow.  "Is that so?"

"Yes, it is."  I wanted to smirk so much, knowing what it was coming, but I thought better of it.  "This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Ms. Bradley.  We will never have an opportunity like this ever again.  If someone like me were to take on this assignment, not only would I represent the website in a respectful, but I would take in the experience to the best of my ability so that all of our visitors can feel like they were right there, experiencing it all with me."

Melissa sighed a dreamy sigh, leaning her head back as though she were already there, inhaling a summer breeze.  Kaim and I exchanged annoyed glances as Ms. Bradley took a deep breath, ready to drop the bomb.  I turned my sights toward Melissa, who was still look quite dreamy.  I was going to enjoy this.

"I am very happy to see that you are as enthusiastic about this assignment as I am, Ms. Archer."  Melissa face lightened up, her hopes bursting out of her chest.  "I will keep this in mind the next time when another special assignment comes my way.  If you still possess the same passion, then I don't see why you won't have it."
