Our Summer

Chapter 4

    May's POV

 Today was the day. I was leaving for New York in 3 hours. I'm so excited for this summer. I just have this feeling that it's going to be awesome but there is something telling me that it's not going to be as awesome as i'm hoping. 

      

I was walking downstairs to put my suitcase by the door. I'm gonna be leaving soon so I could pick so Cole. That's when i heard small sobs coming from the living room. I walked in to see who it was and there on the couch i saw little Fay curled up under the blanket crying. Aww poor Fay she's crying because she's gonna miss me. 

"Aww Fay it's going to be ok. I'm only gonna be gone for a month. You can call me any time you want."

"wait what? Fay said. "I'm not crying because your leaving! I'm watching The Fault In Our Stars! It's just so sad!"

"Hey and to think I was gonna bring you a souvenir back from New York." 

"Oh, Sorry I am gonna miss you totally. P.S. I want a I heart NY t-shirt."

"Ok your just lucky I love you." As i started to turn around to get the rest of my stuff I quickly turned around and said "I'll get you the t-shirt as long as you say your gonna miss me." I decided to have a little fun with Fay. 

"Ok, I'm gonna miss you so much you don't even understand!

Fay just said that in the most dramatic way possible. She even had the hand to her forehead and fell onto the couch.

"Thanks Fay. Your such an awesome sister."

"Well duh! Of course I am." 

She was always so quick with comebacks. She learned from the best. She takes after the best sister ever.

     I was at the airport with Cole waiting outside of the security waiting for Cole to get through. It seemed like she was taking hours but its only been 10 minutes. I was siting there fiddling with my thumbs like they were having a mini thumb war. As I was playing around I heard my phone go off. I figured it was just my mom saying she already misses me. So I checked my phone and I saw that it was my mom but I also had another message from a random number. All the message said do you want to meet for coffee. I just blew it off and thought it was a wrong number. I sat there waiting for Cole. My phone buzzed again about 2 minutes late to remind me I had a message. I looked at it again and thought really hard about who might be texting me. It hit me like a bus. I texted back "ya sure. Just waiting for Cole to get through security." I was super pumped! today just got even better.

"ok I'll be waiting."

      about 3 minutes later Cole finally got out if security. I told her the plans I made and she was cool with that.

We got to the Starbucks which was conveniently was right near our gate to board the plane. We walked in and as soon as I saw where we were gonna sit I ran up and gave London a giant hug. London has been my bestie besides Cole since Kindergarten. London is so pretty. She has light blonde hair with the most aqua eyes you have ever seen. I haven't seen her since 3rd grade. London moved away because her mom's work made her move to NY. 

"OMG girl!!! I can't believe you here. I haven't seen you in ages. You are even prettier tha last time i saw you." 

"aww thanks May your so sweet" 

"welcome."

      "London this is Cole." 

"Nice to meet you Cole." 

"Nice to meet you too." 

I could tell they were going to like each other. London has the same personality as me and Cole.

After coffee I decided to text Nathan and ask where he's at. Cole and I sat by the gate just waiting for the time to pass.

Nathan's POV

I was running late. that's just great. May is gonna think i just bailed on her. Well I have a perfectly good reason of why I was running late. I was at the jewelry shop looking for a special gift.I finally decided on a necklace with the quote that said " Ever since I met you , nobody else is worth thinking about."  I also got a matching bracelet to go with it. I figured if i might ask May out I have to do it in a special way. This was it. I got the necklace with the quote on a silver medallion on a silver chain. The one I got for May was he bracelet which was also silver.                                                                                                                                 As I was leaving the store I heard my phone vibrate. I quickly pulled it out and saw it was May. she said "where are you?" I instantly texted back almost here sorry. I had to stop at the store real quick. Meet me at the gate?"

About a minute later my phone vibrated and saw she said "we're already here. see you soon."

"ok sounds good." send. 

Today was going to be fun...
