Chapter 6

May's POV

     Today has been very crazy. Oliver has come back into my life and now Nathan is probably mad at me. Could this get any worse! Cole and I have already boarded the plane. Still no sign of Nathan. Did he seriously just leave us here? I got anxious and decided to call him...

Nathan's POV

     I was driving in the car about ten minutes further from the airport. Turns out I had to drive back due to construction. Great, all this craziness better lead to something good. I was sitting in traffic and I was so annoyed. I couldn't believe that I have to go back due to stupid construction. I was sitting their furious so I picked up my phone and threw it in the next seat. I heard my phone buzz because I was getting a call. I figured it was just my mom so I let it go.

May's POV

     Great! Just great he didn't answer. Maybe he really was mad at me? Before we took off I thought it would be fun to talk to Cole about what to do and where to go. It wasn't my first time going to NY so I knew a lot of nice cafes, restaurants and stores to shop at. It was almost time to take off so I decided to close my eyes so I wouldn't get dizzy. I could hear a few last minute people getting on or getting their stuff out of their cubbyholes.                                                                                                                                                We have been on the plane for abut an hour so I decided to finally open my eyes. I looked out the window and saw the beautiful sky. It was bright blue and sunny. Perfect weather. I decided to take a pic and when I landed to post it to Instagram. After taking the picture my phone buzzed and saw it was Nathan. I was really nervous about what it might say. It could seriously say anything like .... Sorry missed the flight, I don't like you anymore, or anything like that. I decided to look at after 5 minutes of questioning what the text might say in my head. Cole was asleep so I had no one to read it for me.

     "Hey May, do you want to come sit with me .The other people that were suppose to sit here missed the flight sooooo..."

      OMG did this seriously just happen to me? Should I go? What if Cole wakes up and sees that i'm gone. Ahh she'll understand. I hurried up went into my messages and texted back...

     "ummm sure, where are you sitting?" 

About a minute later I had a response. 

     "I'm to your left in the very back ."

"ok. be there in a minute."

     "Sounds good."

I walked over to where Nathan was and saw he was looking out the window. 

"hey Nathan."

"hey.um you can sit here." 

"Thanks"This felt really awkward but I figured he wouldn't invite me over if we were just going to sit in silence for a while. 

     After a minute of silence he finally spoke. 

"I was thinking we could have a movie marathon."

     "Sure thing as long as we watch a horror movie." I love but hate but also love horror movies. I love the rush it gives me but I hate how scared I am afterwords.

"Great I love horror movies." 

      "I'm just going to war you I get scared but I still really love them."

"That's fine I'll protect you" he said in the cutest way possible. I just melted inside for reals this time.

"Ok." I replied Blushing

     "What movie do you want to watch first?"

"Well I was thinking The Ring. It's one of my favorites."I said super excited.

     "Ok, I love this one too!"

     We were about half way into the movie and i'm pretty sure I almost peed my pants. We came to the part where the girl with the hair over her face was walking around. I think Nathan noticed I was scared because he pulled the old fake yawn and throw your arm around the girl move. I'm not complaining it was actually quite comforting. It felt like my head was meant to be in the crook of his neck. It was like the perfect match to a friendship necklace. We sat like this for a good 20 minutes then we were interrupted by Nathan pausing the movie.

     "May I need to ask you something really important.Would yo-" He was interrupted by the pilot.

"If everybody could please return back to their original seats. We are about to hit bad turbulence. For everybody's safety if everybody could remain seated for the rest of the plane ride. Thank you very much."

   "What were you going to say?" 

"Never mind I'll tel you later." 

     "But-" I was cut off by Nathan.

"May it's for your own safety please go. I don't want you to get hurt. I would never forgive myself so please go."

     "Ok. I'll text you."

"Alright, I'll miss you."

     When he said that I freaked out inside but kept my cool on the outside. Did I say anything? Nope I just stood there and blushed like a total dork. Whatever obviously he liked it because when I was walking away I heard him quietly laugh to himself at my dorkiness.

     I walked back to my seat and saw Cole was awake. I decided to tell her where I was. Then I told her all about my magical hour with Nathan. I went into full detail. I always did with Cole because well she is my best friend and best friends tell each other everything. After telling her about my magical event I decided to get some sleep of my own. I'm gonna need the energy for New York anyways. I have 3 and a half hours to sleep. Plenty of time for my beauty sleep!
