Our Summer

Chapter 9

Nathan's POV

    I pulled into the driveway of Aunt Sophie's house. I pulled out my luggage and headed for the front door when I was stopped abruptly by a yelling Dustin running down the path to the driveway.

    "Hey man! How've you been?"
"Great!"
    Dustin and I are very close so that means we are both very weird. Every time we see each other we ask our secret code question. "My poodle pooped on the cactus in Arizona." It was our own personal inside joke.

After Dustin and I were done talking in the walkway I headed up to the guest room when I was done saying hi to everybody. I began to unpack with Dustin so it went pretty quick. We were done within 15 minutes.

I was sitting in the living room with Dustin and Madalyn catching up. Madalyn left to answer a phone call so it was me and dustin. Dustin was drawn to the tv so I pulled out my phone going through twitter and Instagram. When I finished Dustin was still looking at the tv so I decided to text May.

Hey whats up

I waited about a little less than a minute fo May to respond. I liked that about her. It's nice to know that I'm not the only person who responds as quick as possible

Not much I'm jut sitting on the couch with Cole. U?

I instantly responded

I'm sitting on the couch with Dustin. So same as you.

As I waited for May to respond I noticed Dustin looking over my shoulder.

"Can I help you with something?" I asked curious what he wanted to know.

"Ya. Who is this May girl? oooo are you guys a thing? Tell me all the juicy deets!"

When he said that last sentence it sounded like Madalyn was asking me. Guess it runs in the family? I guess I had to explain who May was and what our 'relationship status' was. As I was telling dustin about May I realized tht I was rambling on about her and that I should really stop.
"So that's all you should know about May. O and she has a best friend named Cole."
"Wait hold up. Tell me about this Cole girl. Is she pretty? Is she my age?

"Someone is interested."

"Maybe..." Dustin said sheepishly.

"Well tell you what. I wanted you to meet Cole anyway."

"Really?! How are we going to meet?"

"Well, I was actually planning on asking May to go out somewhere. I told her before I came over here that I wanted her to bring Cole anyway soooo......"

"You are the best cousin ever!" Dustin said almost laughing but he held it in 

"Tell me something I don't already know."

I texted May and planned for coffee tomorrow at some nice she knows around the corner of their place. I was really excited for Dustin and for myself because I was planning something big for tommorrow.

May's POV

Cole and I were back at the apartment just chilling around well at least Cole was. I was fidgeting around in my seat because I was very excited for coffee tommorrow with Nathan and Dustin. 1 because I want to meet Dustin and 2 I will be seeing Nathan for the first time in a few days.
I really hope everything goes well with Cole and Dustin. If Cole gets together with Dustin then it will be her boyfriend. It's not that nobody liked Cole it's just Cole was waiting for the right guy to come. Hope Dustin is the one...

Cole's POV

May told me about coffee tomorrow and I was really excited to meet Dustin. Maybe my wish for a cute family member of Nathan's did come true? Well I hope he is cute and likes me because I don't want to be a third wheel to May and Nathan. I was ready to meet Dustin tomorrow but I didn't want to seem to creepy so I was just playing it cool the rest of the day. I put all of the stress out if my thoughts and i'm not freaking out like May. Or at least not on the outside. I was ready...
