Chapter 11

May's POV

    It was around 1 o' clock and Cole and I have done nothing but watch Netflix since we got home. About 15 minutes ago Cole left to me to go take a nap so I was alone with nothing to do. I turned off the tv when I ran out of good shows to watch. I was left with just the ceiling to stare at and my own thoughts. Today's incident kept replaying in my head. Did Dustin like me? Was Nathan really that jealous? So many questions went through my head. There is only one way to answer these questions. I pulled out my phone and wen to Nathan's number.

' Hey are you ok? You looked pretty upset earlier.'

    I waited for 15 minutes and no answer. So I tried calling him...3 times. No answer. Now I was really confused! Was he mad at me? What could I have possibly done to make him mad? Whatever if he wants to be mad over something this ridiculous then i'll let him be. I need someone to talk to. But who? Cole is asleep and Nathan is supposedly mad at me.
    I saw Cole's phone on the couch and decided to do a little snooping.

Nathan's POV

The drive home was very silent and tension was in the air. I was mad at Dustin and especially May. I thought she knew I liked her and I thought she liked me! I specifically told Dustin to stay away from her but he didn't. We finally made it home and I sprinted out of the car and in the house. Dustin didn't come in. He must have went out somewhere. I honestly don't care though. Nobody was home. Yessss!
I ran to the guest room and packed all my stuff. I didn't have much to pack just a few clothes, my toothbrush, and some other essential stuff. I was ready to make my escape when I got a text and a few calls from May. Of course I didn't answer because I was mad at her. I kept on going with my plan to get out of here and I was not going to let May's calls stop me. I grabbed my suitcase walking out of my room headed for the door. I grabbed the knob to the door then I heard a familiar voice.

"Where you going Nathan?" It was Madalyn. Great I always forget about her. She is normally out with her friends so I'm not use to her being home.

"No where. Just leaving for a little."

"With all of your luggage?"

"Ummm ya. You never know when you might need some extra stuff."

"Whatever. Just keep doing your thing." Madalyn said kinda weirded out.

I let it pass and called a cab. I was picked up within 10 minutes and asked to go to the nearest hotel. I needed to get away for a while. From all of this drama.

   May's POV

I was snooping around Cole's phone. Nothing personal just hacked her twitter a little bit. I wrote...

' @Hey_It's_May is the best and is better than me!'

I had some fun with that and may or may not have been taking selfies on her phone. When I was messing around with the camera roll her phone went off signaling she had a text. It said 'Dustin'. I opened up her messages and saw it just said 'hey.' I decided to have a little fun with this too. Not as much fun as twitter but still fun for me.

'what's up?'

'Oh you know just hacking Cole's phone. U?'

'Oh hey May!'

'Hey'...

    Dustin's POV

After I dropped off Nathan I decided to clear my head and go to this secret park that I know of. It was a few streets away from my house. It's through a small patch of woods at the end of a dead end street. When you walk through the woods you'll come to a small creek and a giant cliff with a light waterfall coming off of it. Walk over the path of rocks in the stream and up to the waterfall. On the left of the waterfall should be a small opening, walk through and there you are. The secret park. It's actually quite beautiful.
I was sitting on a bench just watching the water fall when I decided to text Cole because I was bored.

'hey'

'What's up?'

'Oh you know just hacking Cole's phone. U?'

'Oh hey May!'

'hey'....

We kept the conversation going just talking about little things. That's when the best idea hit me. I could ask her to come to the secret park with me.

'Hey do you want to come somewhere with me?'

'Where would we go?'

'It's a secret!'

'Alright I guess.'

'I'll be over in 5'

'I'll see you then'

I went back to the car and drove to May's place.She was ready when I got there so it was pretty quick to get back over to the park.

   May's POV

Dustin picked me up and we headed to our mystery destination. It took us about 10 minutes to get there. I was really confused when we parked at the end of a dead end street. Was he kidnapping me? nah!

"Dustin where are we going? It's a dead end road." I questioned

"Well, I'm taking you to my secret park that you can't tell anyone about. Ok?"

"Promise I won't"

We walked through the woods across the creek and through the waterfall. I was in awe when I stepped through.

"Dustin this is amazing! I love it!"

    "I hoped you would."

    Dustin and I just hung out laying in the beautiful green grass for the longest time. It was nice just being able to relax and not stress anymore. Wait? Why am I nit stressed anymore? Is it because i'mm around Dustin? Maybe I like him mire than I thought! Do I?

Nathan's POV

    I have been checked into my hotel for about a half an hour. I was trying to clear my head but it wasn't working. I decided to go to the place I knew would clear my head. The secret park Dustin showed me.

May's POV

    Dustin and I got to become really close while at the park. We have just been talking for the last hour. We played some games like 20 questions and name that song, stuff like that. Dustin pulled me down the ground and started tickling me so hard I almost couldn't breathe. After our little goofing off time Dustin and I got into a serious talk. He was so sweet to me unlike Nathan who was at the moment ignoring me.

"So May I need to ask you something really important."

    "Go ahead." I think I had an Idea of where this was going.

"May I really like you. Ever since I laid my eyes on you I was in love. Will you May... Go out with me?" Nope definitely not what I was expecting him to say. When he asked me he pulled out a beautiful silver necklace with a little music note charm. It was gorgeous.

"Oh my gosh Dustin this must've cost you a fortune!"

    "Actually it wasn't that much.So what do you say? Will you go out with me?"

I sat there frozen not knowing what to say. I took the necklace thanking him and put it in my pocket.I knew what I wanted to say but I couldn't even open my mouth. Ok May just take a deep breath and calm down so you can answer. I opened my mouth to answer Nathan walking in. Great what do I say?

    "Hello? Earth to May!" Dustin said giggling a little.

"Dustin! May! What are you guys doing?" Nathan asked infuriated. That's when I stepped up to the mount.

    "I was here with Someone who actually cares about me and won't ignore my calls and texts"

    "Ya I care about her! And I believe she was about to answer my very important question! So May will you go out with me?"

I knew what I wanted to say. I stuttered to get it out but I managed to make it not sound like some other language I made up... I think.

    "Dustin I I I I I I I I. I was stuttering again. Great!

    That was the last thing I remember before everything went black and my head started to hurt.
