Chapter 10

May's POV

    "Cole we have to go otherwise we're gonna be late." I yelled to Cole who was probably eating her nerves away in the kitchen. I walked in to the kitchen and to my surprise she was sitting at the bar on the island in the middle of the kitchen

    "I'm coming, chill out." She half yelled realizing that I was in the same room as her.

"Just making sure you are ready."

    "I am so let's go."

We're in the car on our way to Bub's Coffee which is about a 15 minute drive from our apartment, Well that's what the gps says anyway. I wasn't super familiar with the area our apartment was located at. I knew New York but not this section of town just my Aunt Lacey's neighborhood and the surrounding neighborhoods. 
    The car ride there was silent except for the occasional sentence of "i'm nervous" or the radio.  You could tell we were both nervous about coffee. Sounds ridiculous but Cole was nervous and because we're so close it made me kinda nervous too.

Nathan's POV

    We were headed to coffee early because we just couldn't show up late and if we did show up late well, I don't think we would have a shot of seeing 2 girls like them ever again. That can't and won't happen!

    "So dustin you ready to meet the girls?"

"I think so.  I'm excited to meet Cole and May but mostly Cole."

    "May is mine so don't get too attached." I commented fake scolding Dustin.

"I promise I won't. Cole seems just as cool as May."

    "Ok, because if you did ever try and steal May well, I will never speak to you again."

"Wow you too are really serious"

    "Ya sort of. We aren't official yet but I think i'm going to ask her soon. I plan on giving her this necklace."

    "Wow!"

We arrived at Bub's about 10 minutes early to find a good seat in the back by the windows.  I waited for roughly 5 minutes with Dustin at our seat then decided to txt May.

    ' Hey where r u guys?'

' Sorry we're on our way. Be there in 5.'

    ' ok c u then.'

Cole's POV

We finally arrived at Bub's after 15 long and quiet minutes in the car. I was really nervous to meet Dustin because I really want to like him so I can stop liking this other guy. I haven't told anybody this but I kind of like Nathan. I couldn't tell May because it wouldn't be pretty. i was going to be mature and a good friend and let her have him even though I really like him. I always have but didn't express any feelings toward him so he would fall for May and we would still be friends. For now I need to push nathan out of my head and hopefully put Dustin in his place.

"you ready?" May asked as we approached the door.

"Ya I guess. Are you?"

"As ready as I'll ever be." she replied nervously.

We walked in and I heard a very familiar voice coming from the right all the way in the back of the shop. It was Nathan and he was here with some other boy that I assumed was Dustin. H was pretty cute. You can tell him and Nathan are cousins because they look similar. Is that why i think he's cute? Because he looks like Nathan? Nah he is just cute and hopefully sweet and not a total jerk. Nathan walked over and was just making small talk until we headed back to the table. This was gonna be interesting.
