Our Summer

Chapter 8

May's POV

     Cole and I just got to our new apartment we decided to rent for the summer. It was actually really nice for a 80 dollar rental. It had 2 master bedrooms and a guest room. 3 bathrooms, a living room, a big kitchen, dining room, and a couple other rooms that where empty and they were going to let me and Cole decide what to make them into. It was more of a house than an apartment. I wasn't complaining though.
      I started to look around a little more and scope out what room I wanted. I decided that I wanted the 3rd room on the left when you walk up the stairs which is located right by the bathroom. Very convenient for in the morning and getting ready. Cole got the first room in the hall. The rooms all looked the same so me and Cole had nothing to fight over.

"Cole will you help me unpack?"
     "As long as you help me."
"What kind of friend would I be if I didn't help you?"
     "A total jerk kind of friend"
"Well i'm not so let's go!"
    
     It took us about 2 hours to get my stuff unpacked plus Cole's stuff. After we finished with our stuff it was time we started to tidy up around the place while listening to some awesome jams. Cole was dusting and I was spraying tables down with cleaner to look fresh and newer. That was when my jam came on STITCHES by Shawn Mendes! I loved him so much. I was screaming at the top of my lungs and dancing so hard I'm surprised some of the neighbors didn't call the landlord on me! When I was done with my little freak show Cole and I finished up and sat down in our newly furnished living room.
   
     "Hey Cole guess what I just realized."
"what?"
     "We have been here for about 5 hours and I didn't even tell Hope that I was here!"
"Well what are you waiting for? Go call her because I want to see Hope!" 

I called up Hope and told her we would be over in 10 minutes. I was super excited to see Hope for like the first time in who knows how long.

We turned the corner and 8 houses down was Hope's house. I hopped out of the car walked up the path to their house and threw my fist up to knock but the door suddenly swung open. I was greeted by a very happy Hope.

"OMG I can't believe you are here!"
     "I know I can't believe it either"
"and you must be the amazing Cole that i'm always hearing about!"
      "That would be me! It's so great to see you hope."
"It's great to see both of you! come in come in. My mom is upstairs and should be down in a minute."
     "Ok, great I can't wait to see aunt Lacey."

We talked for a while with Hope and Aunt Lacey once she finally came down about anything and everything. Eventually Aunt Lacey left to got out and run some errands so it was just me, Cole, and Hope. We talked about more personal stuff that we couldn't talk about in front of Aunt Lace you know because she still has connections to my mother. The one subject came up that I didn't need my aunt Lace was boys.
 
     "So May got any boys in your life? Wait let me re phrase that. How many boys do you have lined up outside your house? Hope said with a giggle followed by her question.

     I sat there blushing really hard.

"Actually May only has one lucky man in her life right now." Cole responded for me because I was still blushing.

"Oh, and who is this lucky man? give me all the juicy deets!"

I sat for the next 15 minutes telling Hope about Nathan and how he is here in Buffalo and how we were going to meet up some time. I was just going on and on about him and I needed to stop because I didn't want to sound super desperate. 

"oooooo sounds like May has a little cwushy whushy" Hope said in the funniest baby voice ever.

Cole's POV

As we were talking about Nathan it got me thinking. I wonder if Nathan has any cute guys in his family. I was gonna need a man if May and Nathan were going to be hanging out a lot more...
